Hey ma dudes I’ve Looked everywhere and I cannot stand icy veins cluster poop of info which is presented badly (OK my opinion haha) could I have some help?
What’s the best rotation?
(storm keeper b4 pull) Fire blast, bolt, lava, bolt, lava, bolt, fire blast, lava, bolt and inset earth shock when the procs up after a lava burst for the increased damag?
Use elementals on CD and try to time fire ele with hero?
If you’re running Master of the Elements the important thing is to buff Stormkeepers lightbolts first, then Earthshock, then Frostshock (if Icefury), then normal lightning bolts.
I don’t know the “optimal” opener but I do what you are doing mostly.
Stormkeeper 5 seconds or so before pull
Prepot and start casting Lavaburst right before pull
Flameshock instantly before Lavaburst hits.
Lightning bolt
Lava burst
Lightning bolt
Major essence
Fire elemental
Hopefully you get a proc for Lavaburst and follow up with Earthshock
Icefury
Frostshocks (fill with Lavaburst if available)
Use Earthshock if you are about to cap maelstrom, otherwise wait for Lavaburst unless you got Stormkeeper up.
Edit: I never delay elemental / major essence unless its very much needed in a minute or so.
During the fight I try to sync elemental with major essence, and hopefully a bloodlust + second potion.

Any tips on essences? I have a bunch of nyothola stuff to buy them but hesitant as I want the best ones 
is breath still the bis for minor essence outside of pvp (major) for. Ele too?
No problem. Regarding essences it depends on what you want to do, but here are some standard setups.
Pure single target fight
Condensed life force (Major)
Breath of the dying
Focusing iris
Crucible of Flame/Conflict and strife (great but I dont have it)
AOE fight
Blood of the enemy (Major)
Purifiction protocol
Breath of the dying
Focusing iris/Conflict and strife
If you don’t have Blood of the enemy you can instead use Focusing iris as major and add something different as minor.
Breath minor is very strong on rank 3. I always use it. Edit: The major effect can be strong too. Might be worth using if you don’t have Condensed life force for raiding.
Hey, what about Vision of Perfection and Stormele?
I checked it on Raidbots, and it sims better for me, i mean yeah…the aoe in m+ is huge, but it felt low on ST without the impact from Master of Elements.

Vision major with Storm ele can be decent but very rng. It can do great dps if you get procs at the right times, but I would instead run Storm ele with Blood of the enemy or the like for super reliable and very high burst.
Storm ele can be great single target but from what I have seen it requires very specific setup, like azshara trinket, int pots, skip Igneous potential traits aswell as echo talent and instead go Synaptic shock with Earthen Rage talent. It seems strong but a bit less versatile.
I prefer the standard build myself because I don’t like how Storm elemental locks you in place. If you have to move during Storm elemental you lose so much dmg since you cannot Lightning bolt / Chain lightning. Storm ele works well in m+ generally and in some raid fights (I used it on Vexiona and Hivemind with good results from what I can remember) but I think the regular setup is easier and less risky.
Vision might sim the best for you right now with low ranked essences but I would be surprised if it stays that way once you get rank 3’s.
Edit: Actually looked at the current logs and there are some really good results with Storm elemental with Vision of perfection. I guess the buff to Vision made it better. I still believe its less reliable but it can obviously do big numbers.
