Theres a difference in making the item available for everyone, and the recipe available for people that have specced specifically towards necks.
The very nature of crafting makes acquiring this item more about how much gold you have. It already IS available to everyone. They can either farm gold (not much) or buy a wow token and have it crafted.
But the recipe? People have done the grind for weeks already speccing to make the neck, and now cant engage well with their profession because the drop is rare.
I never said I needed the recipe for Mythic+.
I gave you a theoretical situation to reflect the real situation that neck specced Jewelcrafters have at the moment.
I need the recipe so that I can engage meaningfully with my profession -
By using the profession system that Blizz created to be an endgame option, equal to M+ or raiding, should a player choose to.
From what youāve said on this thread, you donāt know what weāre even talking about - so maybe do your research before getting this worked up.
No it rather looks you want everything now now niw like some 8y old entilted kid. Its bis item ofc it will take lot of time and grinding. Like what did you expect?
Itās a recipe.
For an item people will mostly want early.
With a drop rate lower than invincible.
With a farming system that requires you to wait around for 2 hours a pop.
Thereās no entitlement.
You could farm this recipe every day for the rest of Dragonflight, and still not get it.
It is bad design.

And? So what its recipe? Rare recipes has been in the game since vannila and any proper rpg have them.
No it isnt its called playing RPG game.
Iirc they āfixedā drop rates, and i hope comision prices will go down xd
Yeah.
For cosmetics
Ultra super rare cosmetics = fun. Because you donāt need cosmetics to engage with content.
Ultra super rare things that are almost necassary to engage in content? = not fun.
Imagine if M+ keys had drop rate this low.
Itās even worse for some enchanters who wanted to spec a certain way, they canāt even level up their profession without a recipe that drops from these storms, and that recipe is just as rare, and BoP.
So not even the rich enchanters have the luxury of buying the recipe for the 7million gold that the lariat recipe averages out at.
āNo, itās actually called playing RPG game.ā
What does that even mean?

Yeah man.
I literally dont care about comission prices.
I actually think the neck should be nerfed - itās almost the only thing people are spending sparks on.
I just like crafting, chatting with people and making gear for people
So being locked away from that, because I specced for necks and nobody wants the base neck recipe feels bad.

Yes it is fun. This is not fompettive game. Its rpg. Aka fantasy game. You are not entilted to gear, cosmetics or anything els. Just becouse something gives you power doesnt men you should get it.
It doesnāt give me power.
Thereās no entitlement in asking for it to be a tad more obtainable/obtainable in a different way.
Or even asking that the item itself gets nerfed, because itās taking up most of the market, which has an impact on other crafters as well.
Nobodies asking for it to be handed to them on a silver platter. The way in which it is obtained is insanely time consuming, to the point where you can hardly do anything else in the game. Thatās the issue.
I know what RPG means. Itās just incredibly weak argument.
Itās also a game. Those are supposed to be fun.
Becouse its supostu be rare item. Not something what everybody supostu get. You wont make something rare if you make it deterministic and throw it on some kind of vendor. If grind is too much for you just dont do it. Create crafting order and let someone craft it for you.
And when comes to fun its literaly your problem. There are actualy players what enyoj grinding and hunting for rare recipes and they have no problem spending hundred of hours getting it.
You are just tipical entilted player what refuse to do what you find unfun but demands changes so you can still earn rewards. This game isnt about you. I have spend hundreds of hours getting ench recipe from Blades edge zone in TBC and i enyoj it when i finaly got it and start seling this ench to other players.
So stop trying to remove fun from other players just becouse you want something but refuse to put in work.
it will be a better system if we can respend all our knowledge points. SOme people like me spend their points for necklaces, to be ready for the lariat recipe. And then we saw the loot system, but it was too late. Itās not something we can farm easily, only one chance per rare from elemental storms, which are every 2 hours. I love crafting, but i have a full time job and a kid. I can play every evening, but canāt farm every storm.
Iām ok with random loot, farming for hours for a chance to loot something, but for the lariat, itās stupid.
If i could spend my points elsewhere, i will be glad. But now iām dispappointed, my jC is useless right now, canāt craft anything.
Or i have to be very rich (6 000 000) to buy the recipe, to be even more richā¦
Iām ok with rare crafts, but i want to be able to craft something thatās worth it, and the new system is broken

Yeah it is a huge shame
Looks like the drop rate has been increased though.
AH went from 1 recipe on this morning to 8 this afternoon
so fingers crossed for you!

Dudeā¦
I have been putting the work in, when I can.
The thing is, farming things like this is difficult for people who have jobs, kids, commitments and responsibilities.
Donāt expect the game to be catered to you, either. Youāre getting so worked up that somebody wants something different to you, and youāre calling people whiny and entitled because they donāt have the same goals as you.
You find it fun. Fine. Go and farm rare things for 8 hours a day, Iām not going to insult you for that.
So donāt insult me or the original poster for our opinions, and what we do and donāt find fun.
I love rare farms for things like cosmetics. I donāt love rare farms for things that affect my gameplay experience
Thereās a balance.

I have done so, and the neck piece is laughable.
Yeah, because without that specific recipe you somehow cannot engage meaningfully with your proffesion.

Glad you finally did, just so you could continue this argument.
Laughable? Ok. Top mythic progress guilds have paid to have people transferred to their server and back to craft the recipe for their entire raid teams. With tips of millions of gold.
But of course, your judgement is superior.
Not as well as I had been. Since this recipe dropped, I donāt get any whispers when I advertise in trade. Everyone wants the Lariat.
As I said earlier, itās not even about the gold. Iāve just enjoyed the sense of community and conversation that has come out of the new system. I was chatting to strangers, explaining the crafting system, helping people to understand missives, matrixes ect. Thatās gone since the season started and the lariat became available.
But Iām the a-hole for being upset about that, I guess. Along with every other neck specced JC.

They need to nerf the magnitude of the effect so itās borderline worthless. Just like all the other crafted embellishments.
I feel the same way about Fishing. My netās enhancements are not dropping as much as I would like to. Iām tired of fishing for them (300 casts and no drop on the correct pools sometimes).
