Thank you blizzard! Now I won’t have to spend time and money on this upcoming expansion.
The only thing that made me excited to play again was how good and fun elemental shaman is this pre patch. Just to get the spec to be completly nerfed when the expansion drops. Yet again we see how clueless the devs are at not only making decisions… How they basically takes away the fun from the player base.
They tease us with something great and fun and just takes it away. I won’t play this expansion and most likely the devs aren’t either.
Ye shaman is the first reworked talent tree that is not OP for like 2 months, they got gutted in 2 weeks time lol hahaha and to say its reworked is big. But elemental is still somewhat decent.
The problem is not if the class/specc is op or not. It’s that you play something in the pre patch, for example I’m getting back to the game from a longer break, into a pre patch where the specc should be tested enough not to make it useless when the expansion finally hits.
Then you have wasted the time into that class just for it to be useless at max level and all that time wasted. It’s just a bad experience over all.
Lmao, imagine being that type of person. In the current state of game, ele shaman is like walking to a knife fight with a gun. And now you’re crying that they are taking away the gun, leaving you with knife only. You’d have to be truly delusional to state that right now ele shaman is not totaly broken.
The only mistake of devs decisions is that they shouldn’t let ele shaman be in current state in first place, and not taking their action fast enough. You literally just stated that you don’t have fun in the game when your class is not the most OP in the game, and now that you learnt it won’t be like that whole expansion it makes you quit the game. How sad is that, learn to play buddy and not get carried by dev mistakes lol.
The fact that they did what should be done with Ele is not a reason to cry about it.

That is Augs fault 100%. And as things are going in WW it will contintinue to be the case.

Tanks + healers are having a hard time. Which they will because (A) undergeared in general and (B) nerfed healers AND tanks.
So. You get the best healer/tank combo that matches best with Aug. Then you choose the 2 DDs that share CD cooldowns with Aug. Those 2 DDs will be OP. Regardless of what they do.
Simple as that.
So if you want Ele to be OP, all you have to do is match its CDs with Aug. And unfortunatelly, Aug will have 45s CDs. Ele with ascendance has a 2 min CD.
So too bad. Even if they would have left Ele as it was, it would not have been OP or meta.
Same. Didnt buy the expansion and wont buy it either. I was ready to quit WoW because I main ele and is just a frustrating experience to always be the last dps.
Then I have seen the changes in the prepatch and said, oh wait…they finally came around. But then the nerfs like a few weeks after? Like, why?
The devs just hate shaman class, period. DH has been OP for an entire expansion, not to mention the warlocks and rogues. They just gentle slapped their wrist every now and again, without any major nerfs.
But ele gets to be on par with the others, and insta nerfs? No thanks. Enough

Ret during the first week of rework was arguably the most overpowered spec this game has ever seen, rivaling only wrath launch dk.
It was not just overpowered, it broke the game. 91% win rate into non rets, quite literally you needed another ret on your team to have a chance at winning.
And this happened MID season, completely ruining and warping an otherwise decent season 1.
But by all means, continue seething over spec which is overpowered during a 4 week inactive season prepatch.
what elemental nerfs ? they are pretty soft touch to be honest and basically make it so the lightning build is viable. The way the spec was weighted before, farseer was significantly stronger. I know a lot of people don’t like primordial wave so making stormbringer a bit more viable is only a good thing.
I usually don’t care much about things in a BETA status. Let’s see how it looks like in a month of playing. This is imo not nerfing, but tweaking / tuning, before the expansion goes live.All these steamers and youtubers needing views 3 months before a release stating spec X is OP etc, I don’ t care much about those things. I liked the rework so far, was planning to play this frost mage, but the moment my new shaman(s) get out of Remix (got a few different races ), I’ll decide which one to go for.
