Based on your above questions, choose a melee dps. You’ll get more APM out of them than a character who is regularly making 2-3s casts.

Both the classes you asked about are turrets. Your job is to NOT move, and if you do move, you’re losing dps. In instances, shaman’s 40% speed will win over long distances like corpse runs in raids; druid has cat sprints and top-tier open world mobility.

Balance

Elemental is just pain

:joy:

i am currently playing frost dk it is a fun class but i want to press the buttons more or i want to use more different skills what is your suggest for me ?

Play BM hunter, nowaday with corruption tank need a lot of redirection of aggro.
And got a huge mobility and help a lot on some affix like necrotic or sanguin.
And they got a pet that can heal.
Actually BM can time best key and it seems you seek mobility and action. BM is Crit/haste with 0 casting while moving and stay in distant.
It’s maybe what you seek. Give it a try

i dont like hunters way to dps and their look xd

You are saying we aren’t beautifull, you are saying my transmog is bad ?

I
HATE
YOU

just kidding :joy:

Windwalker Monk, tbh… but we’re not flavour of the month. We did recently get a 5% buff, so we should be more inline with the pack now than we have been for a while however, and we definitely have plenty of buttons to work with

i am just looking for a class which is seems like magical or impressive for example i really like the scythe of elune look and falling stars from above or using all of the elements hunter seems just normal for me but still ill give it a try

You might find you have to choose on visuals vs effectiveness. Top tier dps is probably demon hunter, but everyone jokes about it being a 2-button spec.

Fire mages can do insane stuff, but are hard to play well, and it seems like a lot go frost for the sake of simplicity. And still do rather well on the meters. But again, caster class will lower your button presses due to… casting.

Ele shaman does have a very useful ranged interrupt, plus elemental, which gives you a ton of utility, but it doesn’t really change the fact that you are waiting on cast times.

When i check the apm statistics balance druid seems good as a caster and i really like the druids look with glyph ofc but fury warriors are probably the fastest class with their 2 cool two handed weapons then i must choose a way playing a caster or melee monks are pretty good but they dont have cool weapons XD

Druid is probably fairly good as casters go. Of the 5 things in your rotation, 3 of them are instant, and sometimes you get a proc to make one of the remaining 2 instant as well. But there are only 5 things you’ll be pressing a lot, and really it’s only 3. I have a balance druid alt

And I disagree that monks lack cool weapons - we just tend to wear them as a backpack rather than swing them

I want to ask you why you choose monk not rogue or warrior

I prefer classes that can heal and rogues and warriors don’t get that option

Also, I just like the class fantasy, theme and visuals of monks. They have a clean and honest fighting style that relies on skill, vs rogues who sneak and backstab, and warriors who strap on plate and ignore the pain.

Though think maybe you need to roll pandaren to fully ‘get’ it, tbh; starting on the Wandering Isle drives in some memories about the place you call home. Also it’s your Legion order hall, so once you get the hearth, you can always go back there. You get to find Aysa and Ji teaching a group of pandaren cubs and an interloping gnome :joy_cat:

No, they are not. While they do lose dps in prolonged high-movement situations, both are perfectly capabable of doing reasonable damage on the move with minimal forethought. Out of the five rotational abilities Balance Druids have, three are instant cast, including their major spender, and the other two have comparatively short cast times. With a bit of planning and banking Astral Power, you can have a 3-5 globals of constant movement with little to no DPS loss… And that’s on top of a 15s cd disengage-like ability. For an Elemental Shaman, you can very easily go with a talent build in which only your lowest priority filler spell is not instant cast… And only in certain windows of time.

When choosing between the two… Elemental generally has a bit more involved rotation and more procs to play around. The rotation for a Balance druid is literally pressing three buttons in sequence while keeping DoTs up, and while there are some optimizations you can implement, just doing that will do most of what your character is capable of doing. Balance is also heavily reliant on Azerite Traits and needs a very particular combination of those, talents and Essences (namely VoP) to come online. Without that specific setup, the spec is bottom of the barrel tier. You literally have to build your entire character around Streaking Stars to have decent results. While Elemental wants to stack a certain trait as well, it is not as heavily reliant on it. Elemental also has very bursty AoE windows where Balance, while having some passive cleave on their basic rotation, has very little actual AoE potential in its current iteration, however bizzare that seems given the history of the spec.

OTOH, Druids have more interesting choices for off-speccing, having one more spec to play with and the option to play the tank role. Overworld content like dailies, gathering or farming is also much more convenient to do on a druid than a shaman and Druids seem to fare a bit better in Horrific Visions thanks to their stealth and shapeshifting toolkit.
