solid point there! i ever so often dont use the tank rune and use the shaman rage rune. more squishy but more mana. it’s a trade off.
But they’re why do you think some classes get gutted and some are left alone? Classes are getting balanced based on wpvp at low levels so it basically comes down to whoever gets cried about the most of the forums. In short if you want a class nerfed just keep making posts and hope that everyone jumps on the bandwagon with you.

Devastate doing a bit of damage in defensive stance that got nerfed due to crybabies whining prot warriors were top dps in pve like shaman tanks are now, and thunder clap being usable in every stance.

had both, shaman and warry. warry runes are poor. fact. but…the talent points are great on the warry tree. shamy needs the epic runes to catch up to those strong talents.
Shamans have no talent support to be able to tank, ofc theyll get good runes that let them accomplish that role. Blizzard dont want to touch talent trees just yet. Thats not even a good argument. If you want a better comparison use rogue tanks as an example
The prot talent tree is terrible in PvP combined with runes that don’t synergize well in PvP situations.

Making best use of consumables and tools available to you is part of that experience when playing builds with incomplete toolsets at low level.
Set up is having a near melee range 20yd flameshock, if you wanna LvB you have to tank melees in your face, and then cast 2 sec cast with no pushback reduction. it’s not 42yd instant Starsurge. If youre horribad at the game with the reactiontime of a fish I can understand it’s overwhelming. Also Flameshock is dispellable making it a 400 damage hardcasted ability
This is true, Way of Earth needs a -20% damage done modifier to work a bit like Defensive Stance.
Now you dont have tank PvP class that does damage, and you fix the dualwield tanks in raid doing similar damage to Enhance.
20y is not near melee range noob. 2 second cast is nothing and is only an issue when you have people sitting on you (which it should be). Why are you going on about it being dispellable like that matters for 80% of the classes in SOD? Please don’t say something stupid like every player should use a restorative potion every time they encounter a Shaman. Why are you talking about starsurge range? It hasn’t been 42y since like 1.5-2 months now. It’s damage is also abysmal since like less than a week into p2.
It hardly requires any set up and 1 shots people. It’s broken and deserves to be nerfed.
It’s honestly amazing the amount of scrubs that come on the forums trying to defend broken abilities or specs with nonsense about how it takes set up or some kind of skill to pull off 1-2 shotting people.

Not really sure what PvP check is I don’t play retail and haven’t done for years, but I’m going to assume you’re talking about this character who was one of 2 that I leveled to 80 on Wrath Classic launch and promptly quit without even doing Naxx 25 on any character.
Nice comeback though, you could have at least posted it on a character with some PvP credibility though if you’re going to call out someones PvP record on a character that was probably played for less than a month at the start of wrath classic.
