They need a serious nerf, and soon. They have EVERYTHING, insane amounts of CC, survivability, DMG. And there’s so so many of them now, it’s getting beyond a joke.
Nerf this clown spec immediately.
Not like i defend elemental, but other classes has way more defense and burst than elemental, but ok.

Not at all. Hex, purge, grounding, static totem, ranged interrupt, stuns, earth grab, push backs, underground defensive, ridiculous heals and defenses, the list goes on. Spamming multiple instant lava bursts with no effort whatsoever… The class is a joke.
There is currently a medium sized rework in the making for the Ele tree (already on the ptr for patch 11.0.5) which shifts away power from lavaburst, a.k.a. the fire build. I agree that the “lava lava lava” playstyle is dull and unfun to play against. It’s also one of the reasons I don’t like playing Ele in PvP but the planned changes’ll twist Ele around. As for the rest, shamans pretty much are and have always been a big utility toolbox, that’s their niche. Without that the class would be only a budget version of pretty much any other caster in the game. (this is especially the case for Elemental)

Btw ele is not spamming instant LvBursts in TWW since they severly nerfed Lava Surge proc rate.

Elementals are nowhere near what Priest give. Not in PvP or PvE. I would give all that utility you mention just for PI.

So you’re allowed to whine about Priests back then, but complain when others complain about Shamans. Double standards lol. Shamans are S-tier for a reason.

Every shaman spec is overtuned and in meta comps atm, elemental being the most unbalanced. Mail with shield, insane heals, utility, easy to play and most of all too much damage every1 is rollin ele atm.

Elemental shaman is strong and probably third best caster overall, but both frost mage and affliction warlock are in a league of their own with frost mage specifically verging on broken status. Spriest is not far behind ele btw.
Elemental is harder to play in TWW because you need to hardcast a lot more compared to DF.
If you haven’t payed attention, they reduced the chance of instant Lava Bursts alot and with the exception of Primordial Wave, you have no on demand way to proc an instant.
Healing is ok, but nothing special.
Utility is plenty and I will give you that ele can feel too tanky vs casters.
Ele is A tier.
