what the hell is wrong with you… you cant just ask something this reasonable and expect to get any kind of positive response from elite pvp players, their egos are fragile and require special treatment okay
dont look them in the eye and ask for recolors first to see how theyll react, maybe form a bond, give them some treats and compliments - then approach the real question
To make things clear: I don’t mean to bring back old elite appearances from previous seasons.
I mean bringing back the concept of elite weapons, and adding new skins for the upcoming Shadowlands seasons.
Even mythic weapons are simple recolours, they could use some love too
would be fabulous to have an elite version of conquest weapons,
atm they just have raid recolours, the gothic two hander conquest weapon doesnt look better than normal raid weapon
I don’t think we can realistically expect the current them to bother with PvP so much that they’d be willing to make new, unique-looking pieces of gear specifically for PvP.
We can ask for recolors though. They’ll gain value over time since they’re removed after each season.
I don’t understand why PVP’ers’ should keep getting special rewards from Blizzard like Limited time sets, Mounts and 10% rewards from WQs.
If these people want to PVP, then that’s their choice. But don’t encourage them to do it by rewarding them.
At the very least make all of these rewards available to everyone at the end of the season or expansion, just like Mythic Raid gear which is just has hard if not harder to collect at the time it is current, but easily farmable on the content become Legacy.
to be fair, PvPers have a good system, the way the arena rating works is good and i liked the legion one a lot
you get a cool transmog set for 2000 rating, and gladiator stuff at 2400 and it’s seasonal so you have something cool unobtainable at the end
my only issue with it is that for dungeons for example, there was ONE A SINGULAR FRICKING ARMOR SET EVEEEEEEEEERR. Like seriously, MoP CM sets are the ONLY PvE prestige item set EVER introduced for PvE content
yeah sure, thats another prestige thing, and the WoD CM weapons too, the point being there are like 50 PvP prestige sets of weapons/armor sets for every class for the 1 sets of armor, 1 sets of weapons that PvE has
we need more
hopefully we get some prestige things from torghast (that isn’t just the legendaries)
yeah, like one thing they could do for example, is make the Mythic version of raid armor be unlocked automatically for the cutting edge achievement and then remove the mythic armor sets once the next tier is out
that way, mythic raiders get the same prestige, that people can see that they are a cut above the rest, just like with PvP Elite sets or glad items
The pvp sets are not really the same as the mythic sets, what would be cool would be if getting cutting edge rewarded a different version of the transmogs.
However, I am a firm believer that there is more to WOW than Raiding or PVP.
There should also be a version of the Transmog for those who do necessarily raid or pvp. But the challenge and effort involved is the same. It can be done through long term achievements.
I’ve always advocated for the former. I think Mythic and Elite gear should both be removed when the season is over, so that Mythic raiders can have a long lasting display of their skills.
And how about stop putting players into this wierd buckets? There are no raiders/mythic+ players or pvp players. There are wow players and majority of people engage in all of wow content and do not restrict themself to play just some small part of the game.
I remain of the (largely unpopular) opinion that Elite PvP rewards should remain available - so long as you earn them through ranking. There are several older sets and enchants that I would double down in arenas to earn - not so much with later ones.
I disagree. I think it would destroy everything that’s special about them.
I understand your feeling: I too am sad that I wasn’t there to get the black qiraji tank, corrupted Ashbringer or the Immortal title. But I certainly wouldn’t want them back in the game either. I believe they should remain special for those who were lucky to earn them back in their time.
