Elites in quest hubs. . .do you just want people to stop levelling?

I haven’t played for a while so I though I would log on and have a go. Travel to Ferelas, L50+ elites all over the place, dead pretty fast. Went to Tannaris, avoided the elites, got to the inn. . .mind controlled and killed by the guards. I can’t imagine who gave this idea the green flag and have no idea what they were thinking.

Did not know these things was in SoD.

My alt is only level 29 tho

Just wanted to try this “Sod” but as much I read forums and see the community of it, as more I understand that it will die sooner than p7 will end )

Just pop over to Tannaris or check out Horde base in Ferelas. Don’t worry about the gurads as I imagine they are all dead anyway

This is a bit like joining during the scourge invasion complaining that the world is a mess… If you think the opening of the AQ gates is bad, Oh my!

Yes the invasion elites are a real nuisance. The high level ones(tanaris for example) are best avoided entirely if you are in leveling gear as you most likely won’t be able to do anything to them.

The lower level ones(barrens for example) are actually quite nice, they give decent xp and nice item drops, for those levels.

The xp buff is high enough you can easily skip zones in SoD.

This is how this event unfolded even back in the day, in the 2000’s they didn’t consider player convenience and comfort as much as nowadays when designing such events. This is why the Scourge Invasion and the opening of the AQ gates are one-off scenarios.

You are correct in your statements but you have to consider all this will be forever gone in a week. You just happened to be passing through these places at a bad time for what you are doing.
