Yea I got screwed by this just now and am definitely not starting the expansion now .
Apparently things like :
The set bonus counts as 2 , I repeat TWO embellished items , even though it provides a single bonus . This means that you equip 2 pieces of the gear , get the set bonus and cannot equip any other “embellished” items . I have not even tried to get 3 pieces crafted ,because who knows , maybe the third piece cannot even be equipped .
On the other side things like the bellow 3 can be equipped all together + 2 “embellished” items
As always the game does a very poor job of explaining things like that and you are forced to browse third party sites in the hopes that someone has recorded this somewhere ( recently there’s fewer and fewer people who do that )
All this profession stuff is so convoluted that you better read guide beforehand rather than trying to understand things yourself by trying, as many actions are simply irreversible and you might lose weeks of progress and thousands of gold by doing wrong thing.
Definitely, also you might even HOLD your craft 1-2 weeks just to see updated sims of what other people crafted so you dont get ***. Some class discords i think suggested that.
Obviously this was something that happened early, now you know what you should craft at each spec etc.
It’s the same kind of “Unique-Equipped” text that has been used on unique items since Vanilla, as well as on Legion and Shadowlands legendaries, a number of crafted items, and more. Somehow it’s always been enough for players until you came along expecting things to be explained to you in full sentences.
Yea just like any other item that isnt embelished , just like those u posted, they provide some kind of bonus and are crafted, yes, but it doesnt mention anything about embelishments .
Unlike the real embelishments that clearly states u can have onl 2 of them at a time equiped
You not reading properly is hardly the games fault. It clearly states that its unique equipped to a maximum of 2. The OP who “hailed from legion” (or played “legion recently” to be more accurate) has even less reasons to complain about this being the case considering how legos work.
As for your set item rant: If you want maximum efficency then yes you will most likely have to read a guide. As it has always been the case and not just in WoW. Otherwise you deal with the potential decrease in output.
And the items you linked do not occupy an embellished slot and are quality of life items except for maybe the Flavor Pocket if you happen to die in a M+ and save the 10 seconds to reapply the food buff.
I don’t like the type of people who have to lecture “noobs” to all and sundry. “You should know, you can guess.” “It’s that simple.”
One word Embellished and number does not clearly define i cant wear more items.
It may as well be a number that informs me that I am already wearing so many Embellished items and that’s it.
because the word the item is Embellished (pretty, beautiful?) does not mean that there are restrictions on the possibility of wearing it, because there is NO INFORMATION ABOUT IT on the item!
Stupid generalizing “everyone knows, the whole community but you don’t”.
At least in the guild I met a few “happen to me too” voices. And there are plenty of them throughout the community. Therefore, leaving no ambiguity “you cant wear more than 2 items of this type” would protect against the mishaps of wasting materials and gold
what do you mean waste of gold?
You can use item from troll above neltharus and just recraft it again…
You made mistake now you know and next time you not gonna fail again
Great lesson
Since the "smart " people here know everything , please explain the following .
This set consists of 3 items .
Each of these 3 items has “Unique Equipped: Embellished (2)”
Does this mean that you can only wear 2 pieces at a time from an obvious 3 piece set , even though the third piece would not provide any bonus ?
If you can wear all 3 - why ? They each have “Unique Equipped: Embellished (2)” .
I you can’t - why ? It is obviously a 3 piece set . This would be ( to my knowledge ) the first time in WoW history where you physically can not equip a full set .
And if you do not know the answer to the question above - why ?
Because it is not explained and you would have to waste gold and time gated materials to test this .
Because its a set for style as well and they give you more freedom with slots. While at the same time not going to mess around with the embellishment system as a whole and keeping it a 2 pieces max system all around.
No I wouldnt. At all. If in doubt to a level where I care I would just throw it into the simulator.
