So I can invite 4 guests, but every week no matter how many invites I revoke, only 2 isn’t best friend status. Is this a way of gating rep gain?

Guess it makes more sense now with that list. Seems all in slot 1 and 2 I’m already Best Friends with.

Each slot has four possible guests. So you are limited what combinations you can invite. Some guests are better matched to be together.

I was kinda hyped for the ember court, but the system is unnecessarily convoluted, so i never bothered again after 2-3 times.

This is why i switched back to Necro. Both Venthyr and Kyrain have an unneccessarily difficult/annoying covenant building. Stich yard is easier and has fun chars you can take along with you for bonuses.

Ember Court in 9.1 is trivialized beyond belief - you can now buy time extending items in unlimited quantities for mere 10 infused ruby a piece meaning - you have infinite time to complete every event and bonus event perfectly. No challenge involved, none at all.

If only we had something similar for Path of Ascension.

With a character in all four covenants, able to check these covenant features, Im a bit puzzled on how they believed its an overall positive to segregate the content in a way that only a quarter of your playerbase will get to see it (in theory).

For the ember court itself, its a bit of fun and achievements on the side, nothing amazing or terrible. It does bother me thinking though that this heavy time gate will be super weird if it applies to alts. Im yet to see if it does but we are talking months of regular grind each week here per armor type.

I have really enjoyed the Ember Court and have done all the achievements and will get my last guest to Best Friend this reset.

There were a couple of things that were less fun, like farming keys to open a crypt to get a possible vendor for an item, and endlessly farming dogs in a part of Maldraxxus for another drop. But mostly I have really enjoyed doing the parties.
