Emerald Dream Incursion Quests Should Be Daily's!

Just make all the Emerald Dream Incursion quests daily’s with a limit of 3 completions each per day. I don’t know why it wasn’t made this way in the first place.

-No messing about with getting random quests.

-No worries for solo play.

-No way to spam the same quest over and over till 50.

-Actual reason to group for certain quests.

-Once Phase 3 is done and people move on you can still get rep consistently.

I mean who’s going to go against this? The only downside to this is you cannot spam pickup quests all day, as 3 completions each per day is plenty, and if you only wanted to do the notes/item pickups that’s still 1k(ish)Rep per day for maybe half hour of our time.

Edit- This would also somewhat fix the gold economy, as you wont be able to spam for gold.

Considering there is a rep grind behind this, no.
I want to be able to grind it at my own leisure, not be timegated.
Incursions are problematic in their design, but this ain’t it chief.

If they did it this way then the sheetstorm would have been heavy…

“Oh no, it takes me 10 days to get my rune from friendly reputation - how insane is that! I want it within 3 hours!”

Yes, this is an idea to change all incursions into daily quests, say 10 q in day. This will get rid of the abuse. At the moment there is no equal alternative to incursions.

Are you talking about experience? Because that got heavily nerfed. You can do other content just fine without feeling “abused”.

Daily and Weekly timegated Content is one of the worst additions to WoW and yet people still keep asking to get this cr*p into the game again.
I am a casual player myself but for the love of God, let the sweaters sweat if they want to and accept that other people have more time to spend in the game than you.

The player a priori needs to make these incursions, since at level 50 for reputation you can buy a set, rings, trinkets, rune and potions that are cheaper than at the auction. If you don’t do this from at least level 40, you’ll have to do it at level 50. I won’t say anything about gaining experience, leveling up here is faster than on quests in the open world.

They can make max lvl quests not timegated but make lower lvl quests for xp daily. OR, completely remove xp for all lower lvl quests and add 1 daily low lvl quest for exp (complete 10 incursion quests for example and award 10 quests xp for this daily). We have other high xp activity (raid) timegated, so incursions should be timegated too because it is much more exp then any other activities in the game (even after nerf). Normal questing is something about 1,5-2h/lvl.

Simple, dailies go against the spirit of classic.

To be honest I never played much Vanilla WoW and had to google but apparently they were not a Vanilla thing (so much), but honestly since I have played WoW starting in Wrath reputation grinds have been more than not limited behind some sort of daily activity.

Nearly all the runes are rips from other expansions of WoW. if Daily Quests in SoD is too much for you then I wonder what you mean by the “spirit of classic”.

3 of each Emerald Dream quests a day would be more than enough to easily get reputation for the gear, and would allow for a good pace to get to Exalted if you wanted to.

The only “benefit” of spamming incursions is levelling, and if you can conveniently get from 40-50 in 1 zone by running the same quests over and over and over and over non stop then how does that seem balanced to you?

Levelling 40-50 should be supplemented with Incursion quests not dominated by it.

If you was a casual player you would not be here, or you just like white knighting for people that you are not part of. Let the sweats argue for themselves.

Okay I am going to presume you saw the fact I put that they should be 3 completions a day, so yes they are “daily’s” but 3 of each quest is a good amount per day.

So say you wanted to just do the notes/pickups/rescues, which are the current speed run style. That’s 9 quests in Ashenvale Incursion, giving a total of 675 x3 = 2025 reputation, and that just the speed run.
Now say you wanted to do more quests, you could do the 6 kill quests in a group. That’s another 450 x 3 = 1350 reputation.

That’s a total of 3375 reputation per day for some easy questing, let alone all the XP you would get also for completing 27 quests in the speedrun style and 45 quests in the speed+kill style, that is still extremely generous.

I agree with you, SoD SHOULD NOT have the 1 a day daily quest style as SOD is mainly for some fun.

If you miss a day then it’s fine, no one forces you to play the game every day, and if you was that concerned about missing out on reputation you would try not to miss any.

If you do by chance really care about getting Emerald Dream reputation and you miss 1 day then what’s going to happen? You have to play 1 day longer for a game you pay a sub fee for.

If the event was any good i wouldn’t mind this spammable version we have now. But changing it to 3 dailies is a good idea, if it keeps all the lvl 50 campers away from the lvl 25 and 40 zones. Whole point of different areas with different lvls is for lvling up, but for some reason 50s are allowed to grief every alt/slower lvler all day/night long. Even between 3-6am it’s filled with skulled players. Phase 3 seemsgood.

Yes, the quests should have been daily. Just remove runes from any reputation, problem solved. I don’t know who designed the incursions and who validated that, but it’s the worst idea I’ve seen in a while.
