Emerald Raptor on my ally character?

Hello there !
I’m quite new to “modern” WoW, this is my first character on retail and there is something I don’t understand about my mounts. In-game, my mount collections tell me I have 12 mounts when I actually only have 11 (this is the best time to check before my collection becomes chaotic).

I’ve just checked my online armory, and it tells me the same, but for some reason “Emerald Raptor” is linked to my character. If my knowledge is right, this should be an Horde only mount - have I done something wrong ?

It’s not that big of a deal, just being curious of what’s happening.

Mounts are shown as Battlenet account wide… so you will see a total of ALL mounts on your account. Useable is another matter… faction mounts will not count unless you are on a character of that faction.

Thank you for your answer ! But what’s weird is that I don’t have any Horde character, I’ve got only this newbie Dwarf paladin, and why would it be only “Emerald Raptor” and not any other Horde mounts (and I don’t know if that what you were saying with account-wide collection, but that count mishap also happens in-game in my collection page)

Have you ever played horde and since deleted the character?

For some reason I also see it listed as available to Dark Iron Dwarf on wowhead… which is weird.

Nope, very first character on retail with this account.

I’m also not a Dark Iron Dwarf fyi (I don’t know if it would have been telling on the forums).

This seems weird indeed - I just hope it’s not my particular character that is weird.

Dwarf mounts are converted to Troll mounts on a faction transfer. so when you buy a Dwarf mount you get the equivalent Troll mount free.

Oh, in that case, “Emerald Raptor” must be the equivalent of my “Grey Ram”. I didn’t use a Faction Transfer but I guess it’s already preparing things if such an event occurs.

Have you tried making a horde character to see if the mount is there?

I’ll try that as well, but I think your guess is the right one. I should try to buy other Ram mounts to see if I get other Raptor mounts.
