Can we get a blue post explain how the emissary cache ilvl scaling works? its +10 of current ilvl,+5 or " +idk what im doing, it scales eventually,just prey" ?

Sorry I’m not a ‘blue’, but I seem to remember it’s based on your overall AiL; I think you need to be somewhere in the 360’s to see Emissaries offer you iL370 gear.

You should be seeing Emissaries offer you iL370, I’d have thought…

That should be the case, meaning capped the previous ilvl you should get next “tier” but my latest alt is 344 and still got 340 azerite. Cant find anywhere an official post mention how the system works.

My ‘player Main’ is an AiL354 FDK and he sees 355’s… so mid to higher end of a tier makes sense for the switch to kick in.

Might need to ‘push a few points more, in Arathi’ to get the switch to kick. :smiley:

It’s a shame they are unwilling to share this information tbh. It’s just been trial and error trying to find the thresholds. Like you I discovered 360 made the emis bump up to 370 rewards.

On my hunter who is 346 equipped, i have never seen any emissary and world quest rewards above 340, ever, not even once, thus rendering both em worthless. I would probably have to do some mythic+5’s or so for a while to get higher ilvl and maybe then the rewards would scale up as well.
I thought i would be getting emissary/WQ rewards with ilvl 350 or so, but no, everything at 340 at the highest.

I know 348 is the magic number to start getting 355’s

not sure on the number for 370’s
My highest character is only 358 and doesn’t have them yet. I’m guessing 363-365

I have 363 on this char, and I still get 355ilvl (useless)

My druid is 343/344 and gets 340ivl (useless)

Conclusion: the system doesn’t give usefull rewards, but then again neither does the pvp gearing system…

That’s odd. When I hit 360 it clocked up to 370 rewards.

This has been explained actually, if I can find the post but I remember what was said.

Basically the system calculates EVERY single piece of gear your character has gotten regardless of your CURRENT overall item level from the gear you have equipped (EG if at some point you had got a 360 item but your 355 was still better statwise, the system will calculate that slot at 360 because you obtained the item regardless).

So this is why people are seeing some obtained their 370 Emissary at 361 and others not until 365~ average.

Conclusion could be the people who receiving it quicker than those at 361/365 currently have been lucky with Titanforges or Warforges.

Either way the cut off item level for it is 365 (whether your character has it equipped or not).

So in order to go above 340/355 rewards your overall gear should be above ilvl 340/355? reached recently 346 ilvl with lowest gear 330ilvl (got some 355 & 370). Still no 355 reward. if you find that post it will be useful but either way, why i have to grind for an alt when i already got above the ilvl that ill get from emissary.
