By all content I guess you do not mean mythic raid per chance, because there is no single boss where they are top dps (compared to before the patch where they at least were topping 1 or 2 of them).
For mythic plus I think they are abit ahead, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they toned down aoe by a few points.
I just check, they are in top 100 more than half raid and about half raid they are overwhelmingly in top 100.
But more importantly for those 99% other people who aren’t top warcraft logs this is gonna be even more noticeable.

if you nerf enh then another class is slightly ahead.
how in any world does it hurt you if enh does 5% more dmg?

So that they get more in line with the rest.
Generally if a class is ahead of all others it is good to nerf them to the point that it is still the best, just not that far ahead.
Just as specs that are behind, you want to buff them, but just to bring them closer to the mid of the pack, at least during the season. Doing this you reduce the delta of dps rankings and make way more classes competitive in the high end.
IF (and I repeat IF), blizzard sees in their metrics that enh is overperforming, they will tune it down abit. Will they kill the spec? No. Will the spec still be one of the best? Yes.
All it will do is bring it in line with other specs. And to be clear, I am an enh main and any such tuning will not matter than much for me.

and in the forums it is just crying for nerfs buffs in a circle.
enhance is strong but not busted.
there are many specs that can keep up with enhance dmg. you can watch mdi for reference
You are underestimating how much of a dps difference 5% is. A spec that is 5% ahead of everyone else can take a 5% nerf and still be first, something that rarely happens.
MDI has 0 impact on balance (apart from healer and tank damage). The damage profiles are so niche that blizzard does not care for 10-20 pull burst.
Blizzard is mainly balancing on their own numbers, 1 time out of 10 they respond to forum feedback, and only if that is supported by numbers from discords/high end players (looking at fdk and arcane mage nerfs before the 11.0.5 release).
At this time enhance MIGHT get nerfed, because there are statistics that show in some circumstances they are out of line, and top players do not rule out a nerf with that kind of performance.

Isn’t enhance still bugged that sometimes Tempest doesn’t actually do damage even if there are numbers in-game?
What is an encha? Enchanters DPS dontatter. They enchant things.
Rogue, dk , warlock did alot more dmg than enha in mdi, but sure.

emphasis on 10 ilvl difference, as 5 overall ilvl difference will result in noticeable improvement on meters, on paper (skill issue excluded) you can’t beat 5 ilvl higher character in meters
atm encha competes with 10ilvl higher characters, that should be like next day hotfix, but oh well…
I am German. I would never call enhancement encha though. There are so many people that abbreviate it like that. Where does the C come from.

No one is commenting on anything else because this thread does add nothing of value. You just present your personal experience without any data of importance.
Any meaningful data is public, and blizzard can act on this at any time. A nerf is expected, but it won’t be much at this stage of the season. On next season we will return to the middle of the pack.
