Can you fix this stuff, this is unacceptable, theres no way a BiS enchant should be this much. please stop these merchants or make the materials more accessible.
I leveled up enchanting to do frozen devotion and it seems to waste… Better I would level another mining and herb to gather while waiting for solo shuffle. Materials cost 40k for rang 1, enchant cost 20k on my server… I will never go to + with that materials cost
i cant blame them, i gave up on enchanting and crafting entirely this expansion. It just takes way too much stuff to level up your crafting properly. You have to spent so much resources to make junk wich does not sell at all. Just to be able to get to making useful enchants. And then on top of that you also got to farm plenty of rep to get the patterns/recipes.
The proffesions rework went fine for the gathering proffesions but its terrible for the crafting. You just got to put so much gold into it to be viable. Early worms got the worm and they are making use of it to get their gold back wich they had to invest to get their crafting leveled up. making huge losses of gold while crafting just isnt worth it
I haven’t even bought any enchs, even with low quality, because even the cheapest ones go for 3-4k minimum
Whilst we are removing and destroying the economy can we also please make all gear the same ilvl. No reason why my gear shouldn’t be the same as mythic raza drops tbh.
Also re add bruto mount for 5 copper
economy already destroyed.
Protip: Unless you raid mythic or do +20 M+ you really don’t “need” the BIS enchants. The cheap enchants will serve you just as well.
So put on a cheaper one.
If they were cheap youd likely be screeching theres no money in professions.
They will get cheaper.
Thats just not an argument. enchants are there for everyone to empower their weapons and gear, it should not be unaccessible. if anything i need it more than the +20 players.
This, I use double mastery ones on my sub rogue.
Honestly, I’m only using t3 ring enchants, everything else is like t1 or t2 and I’m doing 17/18 keys just fine.
Its not just enchants. Its everything.
For my DH I need 2 of the devotions, and last I checked they were 36k at rank 1. The cheaper enchants too are 10k each.
Then look at phials (flasks) they last for 30 minutes and cost 350g each, potions are 220g each.
Making them as alchemist is not as straight forward because finding the mats is random, and potions requires something that in order to make needs 1 awakened of everything (Fire, Frost, Air, Order and Earth).
It is simply insane how much it all costs.
I would take to selling herbs to cover the cost, but the ones that fetch actual gold are not close to as common as that darn Hochenblume.
I never thought DF could be more of a gold drain than SL and force token sales, but I may be wrong… We will have to wait and see.
Definitely not, as prot tank, frozen devotion gave me a boost of maybe 10k at max.
Materials are not the issue. But rather that getting a tier 3 enchant is only possible through an inspiration proc. Which is at best a ~30% chance. None tier 3 enchants sells for a loss, or sometimes only break even.
DF is a gold sink for sure, but at the same time it is possible to make huge amount of gold very easy. I’ve made somewhere in the ballpark of half a million gold in the past two week just playing the game casually. I even screwed up my professions* and thus haven’t been able to take advantage of some really insane gold making strats.
*For example, i went full resourcefulness on my leatherworker, which means i have a 25% chance to save 1gold on a 20k gold craft. Amazing!
Really ? Id love to know how.
Farming herbs as I say I end up with more hochenblume than anything. Any of the resat I find I can just about make myself some flasks for M+. Pots, forget it. Anything thats left over as a result barely would net me around 5k, and this is from 3-4 hours farming.
Honestly I am lost.
Crafting materials, drop rates and prices are really poorly balanced right now.
Example: It takes 8000g of AH materials to craft a Gnoll Tent
And on the Auction House, people were selling them for only 300g?
So why would any Leatherworker make one at a loss of 7700g…?
Adamant Scales are WORTHLESS. (80s/unit) because they are too common / drop too much
So I feel bad for anyone who specialised in Mail or Skinning Scales - who now have a dead spec.
It’s rough out there.
Well for example, as a Herbalist you could spec into elemental herb gathering (forget what it’s called) to gain a ton more elements from herbs. I’ve seen Rousing Order drop in the high teens from a single herb.
On my server that’s somewhere in the ball park of 4k gold from just a single gathering node. Air, Earth, and Decay are also quite expensive, although not as expensive as Order.
The herbs themself are not that much of a money maker i will admit. Nothing goes for over ~150g a piece last i checked. Mining is much better in that regard, where for example, a tier 3 Khaz’gorite ore sells for somewhere in the ball park of 800g a piece.
Skinning, well it’s skinning. A profession that is pretty much always a safe bet. Dense Hide goes for ~500g a pop on my server and are very easy to come by with the right build (perception+bait crafting).
Tailors can make bolts of cloth, specifically Azureweave and Chronocloth, for a nice profit. Especially if you spec into multicraft or inspiration to get those at tier 3.
Jewelcrafters can make an absolute bank right now too, high level gems are stupidly expensive (not as expensive as enchants though). I think i have made somwhere between 50-100k making primalist gem cuts for people getting their Elemental Lariats. Regular gems sells for a lot too, especially if you can reliably craft them at tier 3 level.
Scribes can make Treatises (treatisi?) and Darkmoon Cards. They could buy herbs, mill them and sell the Ink on the AH for a profit. Keyword being could. I am not sure that’s possible any more without heavily investing into multicraft and resourcefulness. And even them i am not sure. Inscription is one of the professions i messed up. Went heavy into staff crafting. Turns out that no one wants those. Hell i haven’t even made one for myself. lol.
Tier 3 missives might still turn a profit though. Not sure.
Engineeres… no idea. I’ve heard they are actually pretty good this time around for gold making. But i have no idea how or what they make.
Leatherworking? No. They can make PvP gear. But that’s a lot of hard work for very little profit.
Not gonna even comment on Blacksmithing. I haven’t put any time into Blacksmithing in any expansion. But considering how much ore sell for i would imagine there is something there.
The problem with the Elements aspect is you need 40 points in that one. Like I suspect many others I have spent 40 in botany to be able to herb more efficiently while mounted. Leaving me with just 22 to spend, and more knowledge points are unfortunately very slow in presenting themselves.
I dont think ill take mining, invested too much in alchemy already.
Crafting Cost is well over 30k. So if you see it for 20k, then you should get that bargain.
In the meantime, just use a Frozen Writ. They’re pretty cheap.
Wheb it costs 20k to make. Its perfectly acceptable.
God forbid proffessions actually generate money snd become a stable end game as a option to players.
