Level Enchanting if you want to dissenchant stuff? Easy fix.
I am very ambivalent about this change. On one hand I always appreciated the QoL of the disenchant button, even for myself as an Enchanter, but even more so for other group members. On the other I can somewhat appreciate the concerns of others that their profession is being used without permission.
In the end, it will only result in more meaningless busywork “communication” for me.
“I can DE at the end”
trade opens
“DE pls”
“ty”
“np”
That being said, the idea to disenchant through trade much like you can enchant or unlock is so obvious and logical I was completely shocked it doesn’t work like that upon learning Enchanting back in WoWC.
Anyway, I personally hope Blizzard comes to their senses and cross-realm RDF gets put in Wrath on launch together with the disenchant button
True that, I even tried to do it with an enchanter on several occasions, us thinkling him not good enough until we discovered the strange truth.
But wait. I know why. If you could, you could DE things already worn for long time - your old gear/weapon when you got something better.
Adding profession sharing buttons would be great QoL change, I used to roll out rare gems if there was vein or deposit inside dungeon …
In combination with dungeon finder it would be really cool, without that it will be the same “unwanted res” on every group filled with baboons …
On the other hand, velum now exists making enchanting much more profitable and all enchants are trainers/vendors so no more mongoose not dropping for half expansion nonsense again, meaning it might be even cheaper to get enchanted …
Well yeah, I do that for myself as an Enchanter. Why wouldn’t I be able to do it for others, both logically, and immersion-wise. What do I care what item I wave my wand over to turn it to dust. Let’s say for a small fee . I mean you can vendor used BoE items, why not have them disenchanted?
I do too with my Enchanter, so I know I would actually tend to agree, but it was not like that and I think the “economy” or what you call it of Enchanting was build up around this way.
Dude don’t even tell me about it. I saw my first Mongoose last week. Lost it to a pug healer I won’t ever see again. Guess I’m running Kara till prepatch after all
You will cry when they release Ulduar and you realise there is raid enchants in there.
Only blade ward rly matters (and only for prot warriors and prot paladins) - and even then, the fact these enchants can be sold on the AH thanks to vellums greatly limits the mark up enchanters can apply to those, over time. Plus, unlike Mongoose/Sunfire/Soulfrost which only have a 4% chance to drop from one boss, iirc those formulas had a 1,4% or something chance to drop from any boss in Ulduar 25. And considering there were about a dozen bosses in there, the actual figures were much higher than that.
They aren’t that good so nobody will cry about not seeing blade ward and blood draining. Just use mongoose instead.
Edit: and like the above poster mentioned, wayyyy more likely to get per ulduar clear vs kara enchants.
Markup? Today most enchants are free (with your mats) and you can tip if you want. Very very few enchanters have a set fee for making stuff.
Karazhan enchants had 4.X% (close to 5%) Dropchance.
But they exist. Wich was the point.
Now yes, but at least during P1 a Mongoose or Boar’s Speed could cost you significantly. You won’t see anything like that with Blade Ward.
Maybe first week yea. But then it was not a must have enchant either as the ppl you where competing with did not have it either.
I have never seen anyone asking for a set price for boars, not even back then. Except for the enchant it self (recipie). And most mongoose enchanters that got it early did not take a set price either, some did.
I could try explaining to you the difference between bis enchant that drops from single boss in a whole raid, bis ench that you get from vendor literally right at the start and garbage ench that drops from every boss in whole raid, but last time I tried that, someone ate all my crayons
I know the difference, and i also know that the cost for the enchant is the materials not the crafting it self.
ill check in with the devs
