I’ve encountered two bugs with Skyriding / Steady Flight while levelling an alt in Dragon Isles the last couple of days.
The first one is related to switching from Shadowform while flying in Steady Flight mode. When switching out of Shadowform, the character drops to the ground without dismounting, but just like it was falling. The character dies. When switching into Shadowform in the same situation, nothing happens.
Additionally, when I test this near the ground, and go from Shadowform to Regular Form and drop to the ground, then do another cycle of back and forth, I cannot take off from the ground unless I dismount and mount again. The usual sound with the jump animation is also not present with the mount (Warforged Nightmare).
The second issue I encountered when trying to do the intro to Dragonriding quests in the Ruby Lifeshrine on the same character. After picking up the quest chain, I could no longer switch to Skyriding (I was in Steady Flight mode already) and had to do the quests in steady mode instead. Which was still possible.
Furthermore, after stepping on to the customisation platform during the last quest, I was suddenly in Skyriding mode without making a switch myself. This time, unable to switch back to Steady Flight. After completing the “Skyriding Talents and You” quest, I was back on Steady Flight, again without doing that myself. After this it appears I was back to be able to switch between flight modes as normal.
I’m posting from the char that encountered these issues.
