End boss cinematic is once again a joke

So I just watched the end raid cinematic. My honest reaction? When it ended, I sat there staring at the screen, waiting for something to actually happen. But… nothing.
That was a whole nothing-burger. Nothing has really changed. We are pretty much in the same spot with with Xal’atath at the end of the expansion as we were at the start… Only she is more powerful.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:

Ok sure, but control over Azeroth doesn’t really accomplish that goal. I mean sure Azeroth os supposed to be the most powerful tutan to date, but the cosmic power scale has become ridiculous and 1 corrupted titan does not translate to “beyond light and void”.

Like look at Sargeras, sure not as powerful as Azeroth apparently, but he did have countless worlds to feed his army and that was still not enough to trump the void alone, much less void and light combined.

“Don’t trust her, trust me” Uther and Jaina all over again.
Geez

It wasnt a nothingburger, we got to visit undermine & im sure everyone here thinks that made the expansion worthwhile.

That is actually common sense. Why on earth she would do that?

 exactly my thougths. It will be pink and float of course.

Overall you are right. Nothing really happened throughout the expansion. They are introducing a minor villain and we have to kill him the same patch but the main story doesn’t really progress further.

I think in terms of places we visited it was pretty good. The story however didn’t go that far…

“where is locus walker? is he safe? is he alright?”

Yeah, we’ll have to see if they explain exactly how all of that works.
I mean… I would imagine Azeroth awakening is a cataclysmic world ending event in itself?? Or is that only the case if she’s awakened as a titan? Some things aren’t clear yet.

I think this is where the other base powers come into play (and ‘us’, meaning the npc heroes, the player heroes and such). The other powers being Life and Death.
It has already been stated twice now that the void fears death. So there’s something there. Maybe the light fears Life? (as in: Wild untamed chaotic nature vs light’s order and rules). :dracthyr_shrug:

For the planet sure, but not for the cosmos. And we are talking other realms/planes of existance here, each with their own cosmos. As of now, as much as I hate to admit it, the biggest “nukes” are the cosmic 3D printers, a Titan and a void powered trinket really pale in comparison to those. Also there are “The Fist Ones” that created the cosmic 3D printers.

There is also Chaos and order.

Maybe the real story was the places we went to all along.

But those were :poop:

Yeah true, but I’m not sure those are meant to be ‘actual individual sides’.
I always viewed them as being part of the other powers.

But I could be totally wrong.

Why did you have to remind me of that. :sob: :sob:
The thing I hated most about Shadowlands’ new lore. :weary:

Yes, you are wrong. The “new” cosmology chart from SL, portrayes them as separate planes. At the top you have Order, Death and Light and at the bottom you have Void, Life and Chaos, with Azeroth being in the center (meaning our realm is not even part of the Life realm").

I know. But that doesn’t mean Order and Chaos have to be their own ‘armies’ like the others do. It would fit those two concepts much better if they act more like ‘influencers’ on the other powers.

Anyway… We’ll have to wait what they have planned.
Next step in this will be revealed a bit more next week.

Bit it doesmt make much sence, since wecalready know that chaos has “an army”. Fel is Chaos or at least part of it and Titans are part of Order.
Also I am using the term “making sence” very loosely here.

Oh and I forgot to adress this in my previous reply

Because, its too big to be ignored, unless it gets retconned which seems unlikely given that we learned that yes in fact there are multiple 3D printers and not just the one in SL.

That just enforces what I said: Instead of having their own ‘army’, order and chaos choose to influence other forces.

Ah well, whatever. We’ll see.

But I hate that concept so much. It’s so so stupid. :sob:

Has turalyon even been a part of this patch?
Guy just sitting at home while his wife is out fighting voidheaded planet eaters, I’m sure a proper paladin would’ve been usefull every time the opponent was using the void.

No clue, havent played this patch. This was a prediction I made in 11.0. Like I said it was obvious that Alleria would lose someone close to her by the end of the expansion. Turalyon was the obvious choice imo, since Xal already impersonated him and played with Alleria, so she knew what that would do to her. Also he is hee husband. Arathor would have been the next choise but I dont think Blizzard are ready to play that card. Also this is supposed to be the low point of the character (Alleria). Killing off Turalyon would cpuld potentially lead her to a darker path, that can be redeemed later. But killing Arathor would certainly turn her into edgelord crazy lady for good. At least thats my 2 cents.

Seriously the excuse that it’s just the beginning of the trilogy is so weak. Do you think people would have gone to see The Two Towers if The Fellowship of the Ring wasn’t good? Now, I’m not expecting Lord of the Rings level of storytelling from Blizzard but the beginning of a story is just as important as the journey and the destination, it’s not suppose to just be a “waiting room”. Stop excusing slop just because it’s supposedely the start.

“The story sucks.”
“It’s ok/normal/logic because it’s just the start of the trilogy !”
I can’t believe people defend blindly like this.
