previously, casting binding heal could refresh renew on the player casting it, the target and if the third low health target had renew… it refreshed their renew too.
It was fun playstyle and amazing, you could also use surge of light procs, serenity, and PW:S (if you had gylph in WOD/MOP) for another refresh. ofcourse single target heals like greater heal/heal could be used to refresh renews as fillers.
This was an immensely powerful way of taking advantage of all stats (mastery for a powerful echo, crit, and haste for renew ticks), and if played to perfection would deliver unbelievable results that no other healing class could. You could single target, spot heal, and raid heal simultaneously with renews rolling and single target heals to refresh.
Since this expansion that playstyle has been redundant.
Holy priests were never really given a good hand, but at least they were fun and worthwhile if played at a high skill level with rolling renews.
Since this expansion it’s become a total noob spec and blizzard has officially given up hope with the removal of enduring renewal.
It’s appalling, and disgraceful.
Will blizzard stop listening to awful holy priests like that annoying automatic jake?! ever since Jhazrun quit the game and stopped giving input in to the development of the class it’s gone completely downhill.

I had hoped shadowlands would have revived the class, it seems not!
