Energy starved help

Hi fellow creeps hiding in the shadows.
Im a fairly new rogue in wow (main in TBC)
And i now see myself waiting for energy to return before i can cast another ability. is this common?
I am running Vigor but my Haste is only at 7% i know its low. And working towards more gear with haste. All other classes i have tryed out this exspansion dont seem to have any down time waiting for recourses.
I do ofc keep Garrot and Rupture up at all times.
Am i doing something wrong?

Edit: i am 120, dont know why im seen as lvl 113 with a mog i made at 120

The new forums has a few issues, logging out completely from both the new and old one for a few minutes seems to fix it.

As for your energy problem, when you hit 15% haste you start having much better control over your abilities. But, just to get more energy per second, I recommend getting Haste enchants all around and pretty soon you will have moments where you are gaining more energy than you can spend. It won’t be constantly, and there will be times when you will still be going “Come on! Fill FASTER!” but they won’t be the same amount as now.

Ok so it is a more situational what you spend your energy on. And the game made it so, i have a little more time to plan what skill i want to use. Guess this will take a little time to get used to. Thank you for the reply

Got to admit, the start of my rogues 120 life felt rough, as the energy regen was pretty low. I now sit around 26% haste in raids, and the only time I find myself waiting for energy to pool is when I have messed up my rotation.

I do find I am auto attacking a lot more this expansion, however I have chosen a bleed and poison build to try combat the lower damage during these times.

I would recommend trying to get shrouded suffocation trait on one piece of Azerite, this will help you open with garrotte, mutilate, rupture, mutilate then energy will pool nicely for a few more points and envenom outside of stealth.

Don’t be too concerned though, my warrior has moments on the gcd when I have no rage and end up swinging my slow 2hander for 4K damage haha.

To round off, everything should balance out with a bit more gear.

Rogue will naturally feel smoother to play the more patches in we get into the expansion, just make sure your stat prio / talent/azerite trait lay out is ok and you have the right enchants. Simming helps, but most of it comes with new tiers of gear for the energy issue has always been a thing sadly.

You could consider Outlaw over assassination until you get more haste.
