They did block that engi belt shield from arenas, but I doubt they will nerf the haste or anything … its honestly not that op, compared to jwc, belt buckled or hell even 400ap from tailoring …
I really loved the hand mounted pyro rocket, it was so cool.
And the rocket boots enchant you could use in BG on decent gear.
Apart from that I dont remember it being so hot.
Tailoring enchant is extremely strong, will see a lot of Warriors going Tailor/Engi.
That’s the only thing streamers tell you. However there is more into that.
Firstly, considering maximal usage of the haste enchant, on average it yields only 26 more haste than JWC and only 28 more haste than BS with epic gems. On the contrary it is an on-demand burst of casting/attack speed which might come handy in some encounters. It’s good on classes which benefit greatly from haste such as Shadow Priest and not so good on classes which benefit more from other stats such as Warriors (JWC+BS to maximize ARP Rating might be better choice in Warrior case).
It’s not the gloves enchant why so mamy people recommend engineering. It’s nitro boost that are used to cheese Defile (LK ICC25hc mechanic) and similar mechanics. But IMHO, if you can’t deal with Defile without Nitro boots, you shouldn’t be in such encounter in the first place.
Lol, numbers dont lie, but do what ever you like. Engi is king of prof in Wotlk.
Please don’t give them ideas. As it stands Wrath Classic is gonna look more like some private server vanity server than an actual recreation.
Isnt engi considered to be BIS in pve because of the saronite bombs? So if they nerf anything about engineering they probably just increase the bombs cooldown. Outside of pve engi obviously is THE bg/open pvp profession but in arenas people usually prefer JC+BS for raw stats.
Haste and utility from fast movement.
My opinion is that there is no problem with changing the game if they do it well… there were problems with the original for sure improving it, can be beneficial for all.
Thx btw for the answers, I think I will be a sh priest for PVP in WotLK but still don’t will respec my profession for engineering.
From your answers, I get to the conclusion that engineering is very strong but there are also some other good options. And it looks like there will be no changes at the release of classic wotlk.
Personally, I think I go for jewel crafting and tailoring
It’s not that people require Nitro boots because they expect you to be unable to deal with Defile otherwise. It’s because Nitro boots give you more leeway in case you have, say, to cover extra healing or do extra damage due to an unlucky Valkyr pick. The point in general of boots is not (or at least not only) to make ppl less prone to mistakes but to make them “deal with the mechanic” in a shorter amount of time, giving them more time they can employing doing their assigned job. Which allows raids to push harder for first kills, parses and whatnot.
