Engineering worth to get?

Is it money maker on BfA or SL? Do you recommend any other professions?

Engineering is not a money maker, but it’s wormhole generator is a timesaver for getting from one zone to another.

As for the other professions, gear crafting have heavy competition and too few customers. Alchemy is better, people always needs consumables.

You can’t go wrong with any gathering professions either.

How about mining?

If I am to rank the gold maker potential of the gathering professions, I will say Skinning have the edge over Mining and Herbalism due to the amount of classes Leatherworking is serving in regards of legendary base items. Leather crafts are in higher demand and requires more high-value mats than the other armour types, so selling mats to Leatherworkers is a better gold maker.

The only problem is here that I still didn’t have SL

Ah. Well then. For BfA content I have the impression that no professions are that much of gold makers. BfA Engineering only for the engineering perks. BfA gear crafts might not be in any demand either, and so goes for consumables.

Gathering profession for supplying the transmog crafters might be a thing, and here Mining and Skinning is on same tier of potential. Mats from Naz’jatar tends to have higher value than those from Kul Tiras/Zandalar.

Engineering is worth it for the perks alone for a main. Like remote looting loot-a-rang. Mailbox. Repair bot and a lot of teleports. As well combat rezzes, sadly those are melee range.

The engineering belt enchant is also super useful - unless it backfires. Saved me an invis pot so many times, so I could use an int potion later, for great effect.
