Will it be viable for m+ and raiding in 8.2? Like is there any changes at all that makes it so it can atleast compete abit?
I’m just so sick of playing elemental but i know if i would go enhance now i would gimp myself -_-
No idea what you are speaking about but I have seen many worthy enha shamans in m+ and in raids.
Our enh shaman always on top 3 in BoD M. And we dont want him to get changed into ele tbh.
Enhance is fine with some minor flaws, current raid just favoures ranges much more than melee…
Enhancements damage is alright, the whole wasting 3 globals to get Frost n Flamebrand up is pretty crap but once going you pump the damage…
In M+ our issue is our utility is alright if you’re only looking at shaman… But DH can do everything we do but 5 times better and so can most other dps…
Then comes our survivability issues, our Healing Surge is like picking up a used soggy plaster and trying to put it on a gaping wound and we only have 1 defensive, 40% on a 2 min CD (could be wrong on time)…
But if you have guildies or friends to play with, enhance is still viable… But PUGs will generally decline you for a DH unless you are outgearing the gear
For PVE content you can play anything almost. Even enahancement. If you wanna feel like skinny petite girl with 2 magical hammers trying to survive in world of chaos. Than Enhance is for you
Jokes aside:
-
PvE we are okayish. Other classes bring much much more but you are cool. You deal dmg, avoid circles on the ground and you are okay. You got delayed AoE stun which can help your group a bit from time to time, you can purge…aaand thats about it. The rotation will kill your brain cells Firebrand>Rockbitter>Frostbrand AND THAN you can start doing damage for next 13 seconds before having to re-apply it all again. But it looks flashy when you start Stormstriking.

PvP on the other hand… If you plan on doing any kind of PvP and I mean ANY, save yourself the trouble or get some medication beforehand as the amount of Useless and Crap that you are going to experience could cripple you for life.
Reason being why i ask this is because i always hear “enhance is bad” and the like.
Plus i noticed on warcraftlogs that we arnt quite like the other specs
For PvE we are nothing special but if its only Damage and some Purging you need. We can fill the role fine.
Enhance is ultra-bad in PvP. And thus some of the sadness came to PvE side as well i guess. That is if we exclude the wast amount of CC and other stuff other DPS specs bring. So I don’t rly know what to tell you.
If you are really just gonna do PVE only. Go ahead and enjoy the cool animations and don’t pay much attention to logs.
But if you wanna do PVP as well, than Enhance is really the worst possible class to do it.
Unless we get some tweaking, enh will continue to struggle in 8.2. You can however play it in m+ and mythic raiding with somewhat okay results. Just don’t expect to bring anything to the raid other than okay single target DPS. Everything enh does, ele does better.
But everything is viable if you have a guild that allow you to play what ever spec you want.
Just know that you are one of, if not the most squishy class in the game.
It IS the most squishy class in the game. And it has nothing to compensate that
Aparently they wanted to give us damage but people QQ when you top metters.
Metters are some new e-pen thing. No one cares how many defensive spells you got. Its the Meters that matter.
We could have 10 defensives and no one would care as long as we dont top meters. But Blizzard will never give anything to Enhance. Idk why they even got Thrall in the game. This isnt continuation of Warcraft 3. This is some other game.
Dont think enhance uses frostbrand in pve?
Yes. Hailstorm with Nature’s Harmony traits.
I would say that Shaman Primal Primer build is more interesting than Roiling Storm and actually you have to focus for your rotation which is way more fun. Of course It lacks on AoE dmg (More that roiling storm) but if you proc and crit that lava-lash it just feels so good , if they just make Hot Hand proc chance higher this build will be both more viable on single target damage and hopefully more competitive !
