Enhance shaman - CHANGES when

Dear developers (if any out there),
When are we going to be more than a punching bag?
When are we going to have normal defensives?
When will we have a STUN (or something) to set up our goes? Perhaps, instant hex spell on X number of MS stacks (with certain CD) because, if I recall properly, there was something like that back in the day.
When are we going to have normal gap closers and movement tools like many classes have?
The list goes on.
Let me also remind you of a shameless 25-percent overall nerf back at the launch of DF.

They need a new vision for Enhancement tbh. The spec is either gimmicky broken or a complete joke.

Well, I do agree. There is a slight hope that these upcoming ‘‘hero’’ trees in 11.0 could possibly help it but I am, at the same time, afraid that specs that are currently better/superior to it already will gain far more thus creating the same gap we are in at the moment. Hey, at least, the 1st forum comment is positive. :slight_smile:

my enhance shammy went lava lash build and its really good
forget the gimmick 1 shot stormstrike build

lava lash is way more fun, pair it with big ele blasts or go the pet wolf build and you got an all round good spec

i just wish enhancement had some immunities like AMS or retreat or BoF

I agree Axran. The damage is there. However, ENHAs still need something to stop the enemy and enable us to continue doing damage (after setting it up) and bait some sort of defensive at the start. For instance, if I am playing against WWs, they will start building up damage, leg sweep me, and, boom, at least one of my defensives is gone while I am sure, it will take a while for me to bait their defensives.

maybe a good suggestion would be…

  • a talent that makes thunderstorm into an aoe stun that no longer knocks back
  • hex into an instant stun, 40 sec cd

Yes, I’d say this is a nice suggestion since the knockback is, in most cases, trivial for enhancers as many classes will connect with ease and continue to pump.

funny thing is electricity irl is used to Stun and incapacitate people , ie Stun guns

you would think as an enhance shammy we would have more than Lasso to stun people

but… blizzard logic is like NAH Electric make you go knock back

I love these themes :melting_face: Baboo now doing 700k 30 yard dmg every 30 sec with 300K+ crtits pressing 1-2-3 rotation, infinity freedom on 1gcd, tons of passive healing and bubble and they still not enough :smiley: creepy spec

That ain’t ENHANCE - I can tell you that.

I don’t play enha (just for fun in blitz/random bg sometimes), so i am not here to defend “my” spec.
IMHO there is no problem damage wise, the lava lash build is fun, abilities have a lot of interactions with each other, mobility is medicore, but the defensives are awful.

But, you talk nonsense…

healing stream (usually one tapped in 2 sec), earth shield also a bad joke. Burrow is more like turle, you can die from dots and you cant attack or heal.

You can get out from roots every 1 min (Spriti Walk), and remove snares every 20 sec (Thunderous Paws talent for Ghost Wolf).

sure, every enha shaman have 100% crit chance and all their enchants/trinkets proc during PW to have that damage :smiley: (they also so lucky and summons lightning feral spirits all the time) /sarcasm/

enha has 7 button just for the normal ST damage “rotation” (Flame shock, SS, LL, Ice Strike, Ele Blast, LB, frost shock) in specific combination, and then 3 other with larger CD’s (Feral Spirits, PW, Sundering).

I dont know what are you telling me about, i used to play enh, my bf playing enh and sometimes we play together, my buddy who cant even press rotation correctly playing enh and i watch him sometimes, i believe my eyes)

Enh either needs some sort of setup potential like other melees, or an overhaul in terms of its identity. Right now there isn’t really a reason to play enh over other similar melees and it can get replaced easily in comps which enh usaually plays. Maybe in form of unique utility which then also differs from Ele and Resto’s toolkit.

Absolutely. Everything we have is already present, if not better, with other melees. I don’t want to think of maintaining ES or off-healing or chain-healing my team while hanging on a thread for my own life. I don’t have friends to play turbo cleave with anymore. I had - everyone quit because the game is a hot pile of **** according to them and they are 2k+ xp). Every warrior first and always thinks of thunder cleave speaking of shaman 3s. About shuffle, I don’t even wanna talk about.

Enhance needs a change 100%

The spec is just stuck in the past. It still has remnants of the design philosophy of classic WoW when auto attacks mattered and there was less interactivity (gap closers, gap creators, etc.) in the game. In such a world, having a melee with strong procs from auto attacks was powerful. Then times changed and the main mechanic was changed from windfury procs to maelstrom charges enabling instant casts. But then maelstrom as a resource got so diluted and inconsequential (generated extremely fast, up to 10 stacks, rather than just 5) that it lost relevance again. Nowadays enhance has a combat system that builds to nothing - it’s no longer exciting or meaningful when you finally get maximum maelstrom and unleash some spell, or do a heal.

With modern WoW self-healing for DPS specs is nerfed by dampening, which is a factor in all arena-based competitive modes.

This leaves enhancement with an antiquated and meaningless combat system and subpar defensives. Also, they have the worst charge of all melees in the game, to add insult to injury only 1 use unlike all other meleess that have 2 of their respecive version (warr charge, DH fel rush, paly pony, rogue step, DK grip and sprint, etc.)

And finally, one of the very few melees that don’t have an MS effect. This is in theory supposed to be offset by the “immense support” a shaman provides its team, however in today’s landscape other melees have much better team support - warrior with intervene, ret with so many spells I don’t have to list them, so yeah

Please rework enhancement guys, what’s the holdup?

Why not list? Tremor, grounding, root totem, static totem with replacement, ancestral, earth elemental, thunderstorm - is nothig, okay. Just list the features of other specs it will workout :face_with_peeking_eye:

He is and always has been BABOO style spec with medium difficulty. If you wanna play conscious game you can pick something else, enh has it own place, dream much.

Give us earth elemental stun that ele has, for instance.

Tbh, enha is just trash gameplay wise. It’s either completely unfun proc fiesta or just useless cause it does not provide anything worthwhile, whenever dmg is not overtuned. It’s kit needs to be adressed, to make it either stand out in some useful aspect or at least be able to compete with the kits of the other melee specs.

They gave you burrow which was a mistake but you still sulking. Now you demand stun and instant hex, give give give, its a different story. Untill you dont have contoll options that rogue has, untill you dont have mobility that monk has, untill you dont have survivability that prot pala has you wont stop. No one has such opportunities but you should have them, and doesnt matter if you are gladiator or just rival, enh is a state of mind, sick mind :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Literal the entire Dragonflight expansion the same useless spec. Same problem since Legion. No CC, No Survival, No Movility. You need to pres 500 buttons to do the rotation. You can’t line, you can’t avoid damage. I hope next expansion this spec atleast be tier A xD.
