Been a minute since we had a thread about shamans. Enhance are apparently dw tanking and topping dps this week. By a lot. No one else comes close to the numbers these overpowered blastbots pull.
Maybe its time to bust them for not paying their hybrid taxes.

Where exactly are you looking btw? Because the highest it goes is second place on the 95th percentile. You wouldn’t be making stuff up, would you? Not on the internet of all places? Or are we talking a specific boss, and a specific percentile, and a specific timeline? Give us more to go on chief. Furthermore, are they actually tanking or are they simply doing some cheese to get big parses? So many questions, so few answers. I much look forward to the latter.
I agree on the part that Enh might be a bit overboard in the current status and thats why if a needed nerf is due to happen , it has to be handled with caution and slowly…if you hit shamans waay too hard it would cause the same effect most shaman have been crying about for years : why am i here only for totem buff bot and why should i be resto only ? There was a reason hybrids felt joy the moment TBC came.
Sod is alredy tbc if not even better. The only problem of sod that its tooo rushed and devs have no time to test things out

I don’t think anyone that played enhance before the buffs will be too upset if things are toned down. They could for instance completely revert the AP buff to alpha wolf, or make it 2h only. I think enhance was middle of the pack before that buff, and most of us would be more than happy to be there.
But then you have people on here calling for the class to be completely gutted because they got wrecked in pvp. Hopefully the devs have more sense than the users here do.
My class is the most OP thing that has ever happen and for the first time of my life I feel good.

Thing is the damage taken to so low in gnomeregan you can go full dps and its fine. This is a raid problem more than a shaman one, shamans just happen to be the best dps tanks/dps.
The only boss you realistically need a shield on is menagery but might try duel wield next raid and see how it feels for a fight now we have better gear.
Issue is BG and PVP state. Gnomer is a reflection of what is happening
Shaman is now the new P1 Warrior.
Enhance can survive more than a few seconds in pvp with tank rune, i see its not fair if you can survive more than 1 second in this meta.
It can survive and OS everything else. This is why it is not fair. And the most unfair part of this is it is only on one faction.
I understand how you can be mislead, don’t worry I may explain to you. Being the tankiest and biggest dealer at the same time and having heals and also a lot of utility totem and all with no other class against you having half of anything you bring break the game.
And it is shown at the BG queues timer while there are more alliances playing and horde having 20 minutes queues while alliance is intant.
You are factully incorrect though they do not have the highest dps. I’d say they are strong though but there is somewhat counters unlike when moonkins and hunters were overtuned.
I can see nerfs coming though.
Highest melee burst DPS with no doubt. Even hunter melee that can’t survive 1/4 of the shaman, bring no utility and surely not heals if they reach you they don’t do that much. And the community was whining at hunter. And let’s not talk about paladin they are really bad RN which make the gap even wider.
Factions thing is very old, and since alliance doesn’t have shaman and horde doesn’t have paladin, they both always has to be kind of as strong as each other and having one being the STRONGEST class of the game obviously unbalance not only class but entire FACTION.
Again SP is way too powerful but atleast both faction can have it, so well it’s dumb, it’s unbalance but atleast you can PLAY the game.
For most of vanilla alliance were classed as the easy mode faction because of how good paladins were vs shamans. I agree its a ongoing problem even in this new version. I can personally see them allowing paladins on horde at 60.
What annoys me is when enhance was trash in p1 we got nothing. We get some love and the shaman strenghs are finally viable. Id say they are overtuned now but thats the risk you take as a developer when making a terrible spec work and become good. Its just a shame they will likely overcorrect now and its back to trash especislly in pvp, we will see.
Look i talked in jest but overall the damage is just way too high in pvp to properly play any class, even as a shaman with high hp you still get deleted pretty quickly in fights.
Buff shamans more. Who cares?
There are more bots than players in Stormwind.
Not class should be rock bottom, but no class should dominate either.
The tank rune reduce damages taken, the BG upgrade HP and the last patch upgraded their damage ridiculously, while having a utility kit. It can’t have it all.
Right now alliance is suffering, and the damages are really bad. Imagine missing moonking or hunter meta…
NGL i’m on forum only to see what they will do because the game has reason to be launch. If the patch isn’t quick probably more people will moove on, only to leave bots which are probably more populating the server than players already. SoD was kind of fun, but the lack of knowledge and testing of their game is really carrying down what they try to bring.
