Enhancement gap closers need help in PVP

its 2024 and enhancement shaman is literally working with 2010 mobility. I’m playing my warrior in cataclysm and it has better mobility than my enhance on TWW.

Lets see abit further. Enhancement currently has 1 gap closer (feral lunge) and the option of a second one in a choice node (gust of wind/Spirit Walk). That is a grand total of 2 mobility abilities, that are also rather weak (feral lunge 30s cd. / Spirit walk 1m cd.)

In current arena its impossible to survive with this toolkit. Enhancement currently is impossible to play without a holy paly, and counts on having very specific lobbies, ideally facing melee in order to perform.

Lets see how many movement abilities other melees have.

WW monk: 3 rolls (with smaller cooldown than lunge), flying dragon, tiger lust, clash (5)
Warrior: 2 charges (smalled cd than lunge), 1 leap (3)
DH : 2 dashes (smaller cd than lunge), 1 hunt, meta, glimpse
rogue: 2 shadowsteps, 2 vanish (remove snare), sprint (5)
Feral: unlimited (shift)

Ranged have very elaborate kiting toolkits, especially mage, hunter, deva, boomy. Enhancement doesnt stand a chance to chase these targets. You run out of mobility too fast and you are always gcd locked because your cooldowns are all on the gcd.

My suggestion is to make one of the following changes:

  1. Make Feral lunge have 2 charges (like warrior double time)
  2. Make gust of wind and spirit walk separate talents. Or make spirit walk baseline for enha and allow talent tree to add 2nd charge for it.
  3. Make ghost wolf thunderous paws talent remove root ontop snares on a 20 second cooldown.
  4. Give a pvp talent that makes stormstrike windstrike permanently. (dont like this too much because it would force pvp to play storm build)
