Off topic, can you tell me what addon/WA that you are using for maelstrom weapon stacks? Thanks.

I totally agree with OP. I really enjoyed the simple but feel good BFA playstyle and the nice spell symbols and animation the spec had. It just felt like a very tasteful, unique melee spec with an interesting class fantasy.
Now with the unpruning, the spec just feels like a big cluster-fudge of different shaman spells bundled together. Too many filler spells that feel bad to cast and donât interact in any meaningful way. I really donât understand why Blizzard felt the need to rework the spec, and then just came up with such an uninspired solution.
Enh came back to itâs roots but this transition was done terribly wrong. While damage dealing aspects are kinda ok similar to the way it was pre Legion.
In Legion Enh became âFury Warrior with blue rageâ that I hated and I quit it for Ele first since TBC. Iâd prefer Fire Nova Baseline instead of Crash Lightning.
It needs good old Shamanistic Rage to survive stuns.
yeah tbh
Enhancement is only Shamanistic Rage and Return of the HEaling Doggos away from perfection currently in all honesty
Everything else is great tho tbh i think the class plays really well however.
Iâd love Fire Nova to be baseline and Lava Lash spreading Flame Shock instead of boring Crash Lightning
Iâm tbh a big fan of crash lightning, although I will say lava lash spreading and fire nova are closer to what the class was before.
I love Crash Lightning too and would enjoy using it as an integral part of the rotation, I also enjoy the buff it grants but sadly itâs damage is quite pathetic. I see so many personal visions of what the spec should look like and how it should play⌠imagine the devs could satisfy us all. I donât really think calling lightning out of the sky on multiple enemies with a lovely visual effect is boring but to each itâs own I guess.
You miss one major thing
Crash lightning is a uncapped AoE effect also itâs buff to lava lash and stormstrike are also uncapped AoE. Which makes it very strong
Espically when we are like the only DPS melee to have this benefit.
Crash lightnings damage is also buffed by chain lightning mix this with its talent. And your looking at some really good AoE damageâŚ
Which means in a combo of 5 maelstrom into a chain lightning on 3 mobs into a buffed crash lightning in a stormstrike and lava lash. Our AoE and cleave will be amazing
This expansion enhancement may actually be really good in m+ environments atleast instead of seeing elemental just played in everything.
Imho if we can get
one more defensive.
Windfury totem being buffed up alittle bit.
And maybe a small ST buff.
I think enhancement could be a strong contender really. But we have to see how the final balancing ends up.
For me, the only thing that sounds/looks/feels better to hit than Crash Lightning is Storm strike. Obv crash lightning doesnt do much in terms of numbers but the effects are just so sweet.
100% true. I decided to play the enh shaman this expansion, purely due to the gameflow and effects/sounds
Same here. I skipped most of BfA and was a monk in WoD and Legion most recently. But as soon as I heard enha had gone back to the wotlk-times, I knew what I was maining.
Still plenty of things (mostly QoL levels and nice to haves) I could desire from the spec but I prefer this to what enha was for a few expansions.
Like me Spooky, you play high keys with enhance (by high keys I mean 16âs through to 19âs). I thought Enhance did well in BFA and I think its going to be just fine in SL. imo it comes down to class xp - If you know the timing, and the rotation, enhance is a real contender for any âtop tierâ dps class. Iâm looking forward to seeing how it all pans out, it should be good fun!
Itâs decent. There are some good interactions, but i would like some more stormstrikes.
Also, i am not completely sure the removal of maelstrom was a good thing.
It needs echo of the elements - 2 charges, like it used to!
Definitely. Nothing feels as bad as watching Stormstrike nearly come off cooldown and have it reset with Stormbringer. Essentially wasting a procc.
Would be nice, but i am talking about actual procs.
One of the things i liked about this spec was that it used to be fast, the rotation had basically no downtime, but now, itâs different.
Im feeling like a maniac talking to âspiritsâ then hitting people with thunderous hammers and splashing molten lava on their faces. It really fits the shaman lore, everything seems fine other than bit low numbers.
