Earlier today, narrowly lost an IoC by a few % on a boss fight dps race. I came out with 350 honour. Most of the Alliance team had over 1400 honour at the finish.
Later on, win an AV by over 300 reinforcements and get just over 900 honour. Most of the losing alliance team get just over 800 honour.
The whole âgive bonuses to the side with lower numbersâ just sort of penalises the side that does have âthe numbersâ.
Same in WPVP.
Both sides that play the PVP puts the same work in when playing, but one gets more rewards than the other.
Yes extra rewards might help entice more people into PVP on Alliance side, but shouldnât Horde be also rewarded for already actually participating? If not why not, since everyone is doing the same thing no?
Doesnât matter who is getting what bonuses, both sides should get them, or neither.
By the same logic, give players who dont want to play arena a 30% arena rating bonus per win, to entice them in! Also an extra PVP reward per week. Sounds stupid? Idd. Would it punish existing players of said activity? Ofc.
Not saying I have solutions to faction balance (flip flopping facials etc would have helped), and trying to not sound too cynical, but this current system of rewarding players who donât want to play an activity and penalising those who do is just daft.
Are you aware, that if they do remove the bonus, the waiting time for the Horde will get even longer? People are already complaining that they have to wait 10+ minutes, imagine if they have to wait for 20-30 minutes for a single battleground.
Topics such as this one is why the Devs are not listening to the playerbase. (and rightly soâŚ)
And Honor can by spended on something usefull or it is just useless collecting for some pet/toy/mount when you complain about it so much ? But how you want 20+ min waiting times incoming or you can actually use mercenary buff.
PS mayby if that bonus what applied on mercenary some hordies could joined as Alliance and times would by even shorter.
Point me to where I said the bonus should be removed?. I said is should be nerfed. There is no way alliance should be getting only 100 honour less than me when theyâve been completely demolished in a bg. Devs should probably listen to people who can read and comprehend sentences above all i thinkâŚ
So if honour is so completely useless why do so many alliance seem to want to farm it and take benefit of getting more than 4x my honour in a bg? What if someone actually wants to farm Honour levels?
I said it should be nerfed, not removed. The +honour is too much especially when alliance team lose.
Honour is rubbish if its not something you want to collect. It seems quite a lot of alliance do want to collect it.
There isnât much evidence other than anecdotal to show that horde bgâs usually end in a win. In the US area horde win about 53% or random bgâs. I havenât won one today and my overall record on REFlex addon shows a slightly better win % for alliance.
If you want to play semantics- ânerfingâ means removing part of the bonus.
Anyway, as mentioned numerous times in this very thread already, the Alliance get that bonus because they are underrepresented in battlegrounds, thatâs sort of an official Blizzard stance, hence they gave them the bonus, based on their own data.
If you want to earn more honor, the solution is simple - go to that NPC that allows you to enlist on Alliance side in the battlegrounds. If not, stop moaning for the sake of moaning.
No. But lets play semantics anyway. âNerfingâ in terms of this game means to reduce something. If an ability is nerfed is isnât removed. If the Devs ânerfâ Mortal Strike tomorrow, it doesnât mean the ability is removed it means it effectiveness is reduced.

I know exactly why Alliance get Enlistment bonus, thanks. Iâm simply questioning why the bonus needs to be so extreme that even when Iâve won a BG comprehensively, (i.e 4 out of 5 bases in AB, 300+ rescources in a IoC or AV) Alliance are only coming out with marginally less honour than I am.
