Enough is Enough, Activision-Blizzard! Do Something About the Bots!

Activision-Blizzard, you have millions of subscribers and rake in an insane amount of revenue from players paying their money just to enjoy your game. Yet, you do NOTHING about the rampant bot problem plaguing us.

For those who might not be aware, bots are farming materials non-stop, day and night, taking away valuable resources from actual players. It’s completely ruining the game experience for everyone who genuinely enjoys playing. These bots are everywhere, and despite countless reports and complaints from the community, Activision-Blizzard continues to turn a blind eye. Why?

Let’s be real here. It’s because you profit from it. You have the WoW token where players can convert in-game currency into a month of game subscription. By allowing bots to inflate the in-game economy, the value of this currency skyrockets. This forces players to buy more tokens, lining your pockets even further. It’s a win-win for you, but a complete loss for us, the paying customers.

Yes, you have a policy stating that botting is not allowed. But what good is a policy if it’s never enforced? Empty words mean nothing without action. We see the same bots day after day, week after week, with no consequences. It’s clear that you care more about your bottom line than the integrity of your game and the satisfaction of your players.

This needs to stop. It’s time for Activision-Blizzard to step up and actually address the bot problem. Ban them. Implement better detection systems. Show us that you care about your community. We deserve better. We pay good money to play this game, and we expect a fair and enjoyable experience.

Fellow players, if you feel the same way, let your voices be heard. Maybe if enough of us speak up, they’ll finally listen and take action. We’ve put up with this for far too long.

Enough is enough, Activision. Do something about the bots. Now.

What do you mean by inflating in-game economy?
Gathering bots actually deflate material prices by putting large amounts of ores and herbs. Big majority of players who dont farm mats actually benefit from bots since everything is cheaper on AH (crafted gear, flasks, pots etc). Consequently, those players need to buy LESS WoW tokens for their dungeon/raiding needs.
I know it is hard to grasp, since bot existence looks unfair to other players, but they do serve as price regulator on AH.
Ore miners and herbers are direct competition to bots and obviously they dont like bots, but everyone else benefit from them.
If there were no bots, those few human farmers would increase their mat prices sky-high and I doubt players would like that.
Sad, but that would happen.

Absolutely right. The situation is completely getting out of hand, some herbs like whiptail are close to impossible to farm, the competition from bots is just too much. Problem is around for a long time, seems Blizzard has no intention at all to do something about it though.

Not exactly. If we assume that majority of the goods is coming from Bots then they’re the ones that control the price. Bots do have minimal value and will rarely if ever sell below it. This is why there’s usually a single piece way below the price so they can trick and buy out the stuff from geniuses that fall for their trick.

Bots won’t lead to drastic price drops because they’re in control and the price of raw materials is dependant on them. They’ll just leave it as reasonable.

There are hyperspawns + half the playerbase has a druid alt with mining and herb, the prices wouldnt be much higher without bots. It SEEMS like mats would be expensive without bots, because right now there are very few people left since its not worth competing with bots.

Bots would be in control if they had same master and prices would never drop.
Atm, material prices are very low suggesting there are multiple bots from different masters competing with eachother.

Actually, we dont know how many people would farm mats by themselves with druid gatherers if no bots around.

Judging by how many people raid and price of wow token thru all classic tbc/worlk/cata it is far from half of playerbase since we have wow token now, no need to farm mats.

Oh depends on whether or not material os useful really. Ores aren’t worth much unless it’s Pyrite but Herbs steadily go up in price especially since Darkmoon cards are still BiS for many.

well on Ashbringer server ah is all empty on both sides. no bots there. but then again, the server is completly dead.
