ERROR #132 0x85100084 Immediatly after startup

Hiii all

Almost every day when I start WoW, I get this error message below:

This application has encountered a critical error:

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception!

Program: G:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Wow.exe

Exception: ACCESS_VIOLATION

Things I’ve already did to try to resolve the issue:

  1. Removed all UI modifications like ElvUI (basically renamed the folders WTF, Cache and Interface to *Old to clear the installation of all mods)
  2. Removed the complete WoW folder and reinstalled the game.
  3. Reinstalled the graphics driver, including factory reset to default settings.
  4. Installed all the latest versions of my drivers.
  5. Updated Windows to the latest version.

It happens immediatly after launching WoW.

The only thing that works as a one-time solution is point 3: Reinstalling the graphics drivers. But next day the game refuses to launch and I receive the same error code again. Day after day after day after day.

I have follwed also few troubleshooting steps from your site (including the advanced trouble shooting):

These are my system specifications:

i7-7700k
ASUS Z170-E
16 GB RAM
AMD RX 590 8GB

I hope this can be resolved, and thank you very much!

Unfortunately it appears the crash-report belonging to the listed code wasn’t actually uploaded to us (might have been filtered out by a local firewall), so any data that may have been recorded there isn’t available for review right now. WoW should have created a local copy of the report however, which can be located following the steps here - if you’d upload that report to a filesharing site like pastebin and leave the link here, it might reveal more.

Hiii  Today I had a phonecall with Blizzard support and they were very helpful in solving my issue. After all trial and error we decided to cleansweep the GPU drivers from my system using the software called “Display Driver Uninstaller” and reinstalled the drivers again. This was the solution to my problem and everything works as expected again!

Thanks for sharing your solution, I have been getting 132 errors for about a month now (in both retail and classic). Tried everything but nothing got rid of it. Running everything on lowest quality and dx11 reduced the occurence to about 1 error every 1-2hours.
Just tried your solution and running everything on max quality in city capitals now. So far so good, hopefully it will stay this way

Again, thx for sharing, will keep future people updated if this also fixed my issue
