Hi
I’m looking for some advice if possible, I had an error on my PC about a month ago where it wouldn’t boot up due to the pins being bent in the motherboard so I took it to a PC repair shop and they fixed it up absolutely fine.
Upon rebooting WoW, I have no noticed that I crash ALOT, I am able to enter the game, but my crashes usually occur when i’m afk, or just before I start a M+ which you can imagine ruins alot of keys which isnt ideal at all.
I get the 132 error, access violation. I have tried everything I believe, updating drivers, booting in windows 7, turning my game settings all the way down. I’m lost at this point, I am about to go and buy a new graphics card but ideally would like advice as I’m always running at like 90fps… So it doesn’t seem like my PC struggles to run the game.
Thanks.
Thank you for the link, I should of specified more before I posted, but I have tried all of this previously, I am having a nightmare, the first thing I will do is upgrade my graphics card if its a video error as mine is extremely old, but still sits over the required threshold.
Have you tried running WoW and the bnet client as Admin?
I have yes, I have renamed both folders and also played as admin without any addons. I can always start playing, but could be anything between 5 minutes and one hour. It will crash.
Hmm, does it crash if you play in Windowed mode out of curiosity?
I do believe I have tried that, I will need to try again to refresh my memory though. I will let you know!
Awesome, good luck. Now I don’t know about WoW, but as a developer myself, an “access violation” usually refers to failing to access memory. Could happen if your drivers aren’t up to date (which I’m sure yours are), but it could also be worth checking your memory to make sure everything is okay.
Windows 10 has a built-in feature for this. Just hit Windows key + r
then run mdsched.exe
See if that pops up with any errors. It may not be related to that, but it’s worth checking at least.
Yes that’s what I read a lot! I use the Ge force experience for my drivers.
So they should be okay! But I will definitely look into memory, I downloaded something 86 to check ram but haven’t got a USB stick so I couldn’t check that. But I will try that command soon!
Thank you.
I use Experience as well. It’s pretty good at keeping things up to date. Let us know how you get on with Windowed mode and the memory scan!
I did the memory check, no problems when performing came to my attention during the scan, the PC reset and it said “results will display when you log in” nothing came up when I logged back in. I am trying windows mode now ontop of turning off all Windows security and running in admin. UPDATE - I am now getting instant dc’s upon loading in… it stays connected and I can stand still, but the moment I press any buttons to move. Instant DC. Only seems to work if I turn down my game settings to 0, which would make playing the game pointless lol - UPDATE 2, upon flushing my DNS etc, I can log in. Still in windows mode, hanging around to try and see what happens and have turn’t my settings up again. Will it working in windows mode give you an idea on what the issue is so I can fix it and go back to fill screen? UPDATE 3 - Still no crashes in windows mode after 2 hours. But rather not play like this if I can help it
Did you find any solution to your problem dude? Because i have the same problem when i am playing wow sometimes crushes and drops me this error. I cant find any solution.
I did sort it, only by replacing my whole graphics card. So I wouldn’t say I found a fix, I think tbh my GTX 560 was just too trash. As now I spend a decent amount, its fine. Only other thing which proved successful for me was playing in Windows mode - Not full screen, just windowed. Try that.
Already did but not luck at all. I have RX 580 … Well anyway already send a ticket about this. When i have any solution i will send you
I hate to be the one telling you that if you didn’t know already but Shadowlands requires minimum GTX 760.
IDK if you’ll be able to run it but anyways no one can guarantee it won’t cause issues.
I made a mistake about my graphic card and i edited back in previous post Rx 580. I dont know yet if i am going to buy yet shadowlands. Waiting a few days after release to see reviews and later on i will buy it
Thing is I believe the tech update will come even if you don’t buy SL. Buying SL only gives you access to levels 51-60 and SL content.
I tried something else these days and i am not having any problem until now. I just went to settings to bnet and i put the setting when i am launching a game to close bnet. I think battlenet may cause this or there is a bug that cause this. I will contact today at phone with technical support i will tell you more details later on this day…
