WoW has been crashing with error 132 access violation for the last couple of days (since I moved my PC, not sure if related). Happens seemingly at random in game, more frequent when in an instance.
I have over the last few days also had a lot of BSODs during startup. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION is the most common with some others thrown in related to the network adapter (netsio.sys).
The blue screens seemed to have stopped now, but the error 132 in game continues.
What I’ve tried so far:
- Update all drivers
- Update Windows
- Full removal of graphics drivers with DDU and clean driver install
- Scan and repair WoW installation
- Uninstall and reinstall WoW
- Reset Windows installation
- Checked all components inside PC were seated correctly and cables connected properly
- Took RAM out and re-seated it
- Cleaned inside of PC
Crash report and DXDiag below.
Any ideas? Thanks

Hi, Bootybae! o/
You’ve covered a lot of the troubleshooting we usually recommend for these kinds of errors, but I see you missed a few things.
First, I would try an interface reset. While it’s unusual for this to be the cause of this error, it’s quick, and worth a try.
I would also try to launch the game with Nvidia’s debug mode activated:
- Right click on an empty space of your desktop
- Go to the Nvidia Control Panel
- Click on Help, on the top right
- Activate Debug Mode (if this option doesn’t appear, then ignore these steps)
Other than that, I would check the integrity of Windows and the hardware:
Hi Agaleith,
Thanks for the reply. Tried all of the above and found no problems. Game still crashing.
Edit: also tried uninstalling BitDefender.

Your HDD/SSD seems to be almost full. That can easily cause BSODs.
- Free Disk Space: 2.75 GB
A little changing Page file, pending update or changing cache and poof, off you go.
Although I have no clue whether that is the system drive
Heya Bootybae,
Cheers for including that crash report, it’s quite helpful. In your case, there isn’t a specific call out however SFC is showing much higher than previous which does tie in your bluescreen errors.
The particular error you have lends itself to damaged operating systems, drivers or hardware. Magiola also mentioned a very valid point where low amounts of disc space may be at play here.
Since the steps we provided before didn’t help. I’d definitely clear some disc space along with performing a clean install of your graphics driver:
- Choose custom installation
- Choose install without geforce experience
- Untick the 3D driver components (if listed)
- Click clean install
- Continue and complete the installation as per normal
I’d also suggest testing if debug mode helps:
- Right click your Desktop
- Click Nvidia Control panel
- Click help
- Select Debug mode
Note you must clean install the driver to remove this for most GPU’s
If the issue persists you will want to have a tech savvy friend have a look into your machine as the blue screens are almost certainly related to what is causing your wow crashes.
