Error 132 & Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware

I recently got a new PC made and when I try to play WoW most of the time the screen flickers on and off then the game crashes with the above faults. If I restart the computer sometimes it will work just fine.
I have tried running heaven benchmark straight after wow had crashed and that worked as expected.

So far I have tried
uninstalling drivers with DDU and reinstalling them 4 versions
uninstalling WoW and reinstalling it twice in different folders
tried running it in compatiblity mode

Hiya,

You already mentioned going through the steps to remove your current drivers and install new/older drivers instead. As that has not helped out, it could be a hardware issue instead.

Please post your System Files so we can have a closer look into this. Please go through the steps listed here, and create both the MSInfo and DxDiag files. Post them on a page like Pastebin.com or share directly with us through OneDrive. Post the links here afterwards as preformatted text (text between ``), so we can have a look.

Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!

Hello

Here are the files you requested
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmPyLTH5OEhJggN5cypqbaYeiqyL?e=cjaJpX

Thanks for the help

I noticed that motherboard have built in graphics, is that disabled in BIOS? If it is you should only see your main GPU in the device manager.

I also noticed you GxInfo says “Microsoft Basic Render Driver” that sounds like it could be the case or maybe they just forgot to install the driver for your GPU.

Though then that benchmark shouldn’t have worked, so it’s most likely WoW trying to run on the first GPU it finds which is the built in one.

Looking in the manual on page 3-12 and 3-13 there’s a description on where you will find the settings to disable the on board graphics and/or make PCIe primary. Alas I’m not allowed to copy from the pdf, or post a link. You can also look it up in your paper manual.

Not familiar with AMD GPUs, but there is probably a way to force the game to use the main GPU. Have a look in the settings. That way you might not have to fiddle around in the BIOS settings if you feel uncomfortable doing that.

Hi I have checked the bios and manual the IGFX ( Internal Graphics ) is part of the NB configuration sub menu which I can’t see.
It does say
NB Configuration function is not support when using an AMD Ryzen processor. So I guess it is auto disabled when using a Ryzen cpu without the advanced Radeon™ graphics built-in.

Also Checked the device manager and only the RX5700 is there.

No idea why it says Microsoft basic render driver guesss will try another uninstall and reinstall of drivers

Thanks for the advice

The 3700X doesn’t have an IGPU. You’re barking up the wrong tree. The drivers for the 5700 seem to be installed correctly.

Try setting WoW to DX11 mode as a test.

Also try closing any weird software you might have running like discord/msi afterburner/asus motherboard junk or similar.

Yea putting it in DX11 mode seems to have worked, thanks Raijin
