Error #132

Hi,

I had not logged into WoW for 2 or 3 days and was excited to play again. To my dismay i was greeted with the ERROR #132 Fatal exception!

As far as I know I had not changed anything on my computer that would cause this error, since I could play the game just perfectly a few days before.

I tried all the suggested fixes provided by Blizzard to no avail.
In fact, when I went to update my driver I got an extra error message tell me that my driver was no longer supported.

After looking for a solution I found that I could play when I enabled directx 12 after reverting the update to my driver. However, this would lead to me having literally 2 fps.

I just updated the driver again and tried to run WoW with additional command line arguments, using dx11 legacy I was able to log in, but only once. This has stopped working as well.

I am effectively locked out of the game due to no fault of my own (as far as i’m aware).

Hopefully someone out here can help me, this is an extremely frustrating problem to have…

Thnx!

Heya,

Could you just confirm that you have gone through all the steps listed in our dedicated Error 132 support article?

If you have gone through that already and still cannot play, post your System Files so we can have a closer look into this. Please go through the steps listed here, and create both the MSInfo and DxDiag files. Post them on a page like Pastebin.com or share directly with us through OneDrive. Post the links here afterwards as Preformatted text, so we can have a look.

Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!

The problem seems to have fixed itself for now, no idea how but I hope it never happends again.

Thanks

Happy to hear that!

Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!

Seems like we may have celebrated too early, it happened again after about 10 minutes of playtime. Now I can’t get further than realmselect before crashing.

Here are the files you asked for earlier.

MSinfo (in parts because it’s too big for pastebin):

  1. https://pastebin.com/m78HYFg0
  2. https://pastebin.com/MP2ZZsam
  3. https://pastebin.com/jdQyCatK
  4. https://pastebin.com/8GmSzHTx

DxDiag:

I hope this will suffice.

Could you fully remove Discord for now, and retest once more afterwards? If that helps, you can try to install the latest version and test again afterwards.

If that does not help out, go through the steps to close background applications and retest once more.

That did seem to be the problem, after I uninstalled Discord everything worked fine again. I also reverted the driver updates since the updated ones gave the unsupported message.
After re-installing Discord the game instantly gave me that error again.
Guess i’ll need to find a way to get that fixed.

Thank you so so much for the help!

No trouble at all, happy to hear we found the problem.
