Error message when trying to start the game

Whenever I start the game, and get to the character selection screen, I get the same error message that also closes the game.

The error message says following more or less:

Program: C:/Program Files (x86)/World of Warcraft/retail/Wow.exe
Exception: ACCESS_VIOLATION - The instruction at “0x00007ff6150c07b0” referenced memeory at “0xffffffffffffffffffff”.
The memory could not “read”.
ProcessID: 53812
ThreadID: 32456

Sometimes it works closing the game and restarting a few times. Repairing and scanning the game works every the first time I start it, but then next time it’s the same again.
Any idea what’s causing this?

There is another post up on the forum that explains the same issue. Multiple people seem to be suffering from it. What seems to work is to spamm the “Enter World” before all the assets had time to load on the character select screen and it lets you bypass that error every time.

It seems to be a bandaid workout at the moment.

Yeah, saw it and it worked for me as well. Quite annoying having to resort to that tho.
