Error with clean UI

I’v recently run into a lua error. Tested on two accounts and with clean UI after resetting hte interface and turning off addons. Here’s what I found as to what triggers the error. Must be in group and have the Player Frame moved using the blizzard’s “unlock frame” option. And just now when hovering over party frame portrait or my pet frame portrait the error will occur.

The error itself:

83x [string “PartyMemberBuffTooltip:OnEnter”]:2: Action[SetPoint] failed because[SetPoint would result in anchor family connection]: attempted from: PartyMemberBuffTooltip:SetPoint.
[C]: in function `SetPoint’

Hey Qerby,

It looks like your interface was not cleaned fully. Please go through the steps once more to clear your UI (addons) completely and retest.

Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!

Unfortunately the error still occurs after doing as instructed

I’m experiencing the exact same error

Same here could not fix it

Hey all,

Just want to reiterate that this comes up as a result of an addon issue. This could be currently installed addons or previously installed addons that might not be active in-game or have not been correctly removed previously.

If you continue to see a LUA error, go through the steps to clear your UI (addons) completely and retest afterwards. If you use an addon manager, make sure to fully disable that as well before starting World of Warcraft again (to prevent it from restoring addons/settings).
