Hello. I have just done a server transfer for my hunter, when I tried to faction change it I got a message of ‘your guild master character has a pending name change. complete the name change and try again’ I am not sure what this means. None of my characters are a guild master or ever been one. I cannot faction change my main now or play it. Help please?

Is there a chance you are in a guild on the char you are trying to faction change?
If so, you must leave this guild first as guilds aren’t cross-faction yet (sadly).
No I was guildless, I’m baffled, not seen this before but I’m surprised no one else has reported it
Quick google search:
That error typically means that either the guild or character’s name isn’t able to be used on the destination realm and would need to be changed before it could be started.
Probally your name is already taken on the opposing faction.
(I didn’t even know you can have the same name Alliance and Horde lmao)
Solved now, my own fault…I didnt realise I needed to log in and rename first before I faction changed, you’d think I’d know better at my age, blonde moment
