Eternal Traveler Transmog

Hi,

Now I know this is my own stupidity (lol), but I had already farmed a portion of Echoes of Mortality and through being stupid as previously mentioned, I accidentally abandoned the quest.

So I mounted up, called the NPC and accepted the quest again. Now this is the issue I have, I am now back at 0/40 Echoes of Mortality… what? Is this what is meant to happen?

If this had been any other item that I was farming, it would have been put into currency or bag and there wouldn’t be an issue, why has this now been reset to zero?

If it’s not bad enough that we have to grind for an expansion item, you have to deal with this pain in the rear as well . As I said, I know it’s my ‘fault’ but I would assume it would have been implemented better.

I don’t know what I expect as an outcome of this post other than to vent and warn others players who may be serial quest ‘cleaner up-ers’. If anything can be done, I would really appreciate it, but I’m not holding my breath.

Thanks all :v:t3:

Hi Tillarg

Abandoning a Quest does indeed get rid of any Quest Items that are associated with it, since those items only exist for the purpose of completing the quest. This happened back when Quest Items dropped into your inventory, too, with very rare exceptions for Legendary-quality items.

I definitely know the struggle of having a messy Quest Log, but ultimately abandoning a quest is an action that you need to go through an extra confirmation dialogue box for, and by agreeing to that you’re essentially accepting the consequences of dropping it.
