These are the cosmetic weapon tokens unlocked via Renown 12 with Manaforge Vandals. You get one from the initial quest “Head Hunting: Nexus-King Salhadaar” , with the text then stating that he has a chance to drop additional tokens going forward.
In Liberation, every alt got that raid’s version of the quest, and on top of that multiple tokens could be acquired per account per week (at a not bad rate..) via killing the slot machine, per difficulty.
For Manaforge, your warband gets the quest once, for a single sliver. And either the drop rate is appalling, or it’s limited weekly like the Loom’ithar silk.
Either choice is pretty poor- the silk being once a week is.. okay?, you only need 13 (one per class). The weapons though? There’s 73 of them on the vendor. Sure, folk will have some to most, maybe, depending on luck and diligence, but still.
Anyone had more than one sliver this week? Either across their account or at all?

Think it’s just once per week accountwide. It’s probably the same like the Loom thread off the Moth boss for them cloak mogs, never had more than the one with alts.
Yah Silk is definitely guaranteed once per week per warband and that’s it. But there’s 5 times as many things to buy with sliver, and most simply won’t have enough weeks left. (Even if it had been dropping from the first day.. )
Silk, of course, has been there since basically the beginning (Renown 2), and is nearly done with.
Kinda feel the description is.. flat out wrong -”has a chance to drop extra ‘thing’ when defeated”, as well as it being a definite step back from Undermine’s version.
Edit: welp, sliver ain’t guaranteed on first kill of the week, either.
Yeah, actually it even seems worse than that. I did 2 complete LFR runs on my 2 alts this week and neither get even 1 Ethereal Essence Sliver. And last week, I did like 5 runs on 5 difference chars and only 1 was available (the one in the quest itself).
So, it’s either broken or the rate is sooo small

I’m not even 100% I’ve seen more than one drop for a raid.. They show in the 'Name looted ’ log as actual items, and have been trying to keep an eye on it.
And I’m not exactly seeing dozens go out.
In 2 years you’ll be farming all those items anyway, no rush.
I mean, I’m only missing 10 weapon appearances(5 models, 2 colours each) from Manaforge Omega, across four difficulties, so it’s not so much an urgent thing. Just commenting that the drop rate for the renown ‘reward’ seems somewhat excessively low. And compared to the previous season, a significant step backward.
Only thing I’ll probably be back for is the Mythic mount 
I have had 2 silk in first week only 1 sliver so far this week
Since this system in only 2 Tiers in, it’s safe to assume they are still fine tuning it.
