Heya. (Sorry for hijacking the post)
Me and my GF is also looking a little for a LGBT+ or LGBT+ friendly guild due to our server being so crowed that we hardly is able to play and our game time and expansion is just going down the drain (2+ hours wait time and if lucky the server won’t crash or kick you off and throw you back into the que).
We are a bit worried about RP realms since we are not hardcore RP players and scare of insulting/offend RP players

I’m sorry to hear you’re having a bad experience with the Shadowlands launch so far, large realms can be a bother and I can say that, even though it’s considered a “Full” realm, I haven’t experienced the same issues in our Argent Dawn.
Well I can say that you have nothing to worry about - RP Realms do indeed have some additional rules, particularly regarding naming, but there should be no worries.
In fact, I think you’ll find that RP realms can be more vibrant than other realms with players often having fun conversations in-character in cities and other crowded places - with this said, RP is not mandatory and you needn’t participate in it if you don’t want to - you won’t “insult/offend” Roleplayers just be being here, I assure you.

About the stay in-character stuff. Is it very strick/required? Since again i’m worried that going of out character and people would be angry about it.
You have nothing to worry about - being out of character is entirely normal (in fact, most avid roleplayers are usually out of character unless they state otherwise) 
Thanks for putting that to rest. Since we were rather worried and main reason we stayed away from RP realms since didn’t want to offend/insult any.
