Liquid made the RWF race interesting , it was really close with Echo !
Unlucky for them , they had internet problems during the race .
I though they would win after Halondrus lead .

Nice to see Max show more grace than people like you. Max and Limit are a class act.
And Blizz need to fix the lengths top guilds need to go to to compete and have a chance.

Echo and Limit are in a league of their own. Shame it’s come down to stamina in the end - Limit just ran out of steam I guess.
Echo have the Jailer down to 0.6% in P4, so they’re pretty much there now. I never really think of eSports as comparable to irl sport, but they’ve shown remarkable level of mental and even physical endurance this tier.

This is a very interesting decision considering it is their first raid as Liquid and they gave up already. If they wait until Monday they might even get 2nd which might effect their sponsorships. If they had not rented a hotel to meet for the raid they could have probably kept going.
Either way the new FFXIV raid is coming out in 2 weeks and it will be a lot more chill for both teams to play.
I can’t blame them really. What these teams are doing is incredibly unhealthy and jeopardizes their mental and physical health. I’m surprised they’ve lasted as long as they did. I’m even more surprised that Echo are still able to keep going. Their desire to win must be powerful indeed.

To the op and everyone else…RWF is not a Blizzard ran event, it is a community event that was started by the Method Guild, so no guild or person has to participate. At the same time it is not Blizzards job to make this event faster or quicker as it is not a Blizzard sanctioned event. A raid tier is called a raid tier for a reason, these guilds are making insane progress for something that is supposed to take a few months usually.
I applaud Echo as they have won the RWF just now and kudos to Liquid, but Liquid seems to have numerous problems since the past 3 raid tiers. I hope they can iron out the issues and be ready for the next tier in 10.0.

Do you mean that they need to do 5 billion split runs in order to actually start the race? If so yes I find that extremely dull and makes me not wanna watch it at all

Blizz not only needs to fix the lengths for top guilds. SL is a horrible experience in general and it feels like a souls game with its one shot mechanics.

One shot mechanics on the highest difficulty have always been present. They shouldnt be the norm on heroic, normal and LFR and tuned accordingly however. For example imo the Anduin Bombs shouldnt be present on Heroic and the encounter should have been designed differently because of it. Such a mechanic should be Mythic only even if its not as ugly as Star Augur.
The same applies in M+. Not everything oneshots you in M+ but some stuff doing it is fine (like for instance stradamas tentacle slam) and that some stuff oneshots you at high key levels while it doesnt do so in lower levels is also absolutely fine.

it wasen’t a sport… it was not money driven or sponsored content…
whatever this RWF nonsense is now is just commercial bullcrap .
and i have no interest in it at all … or any of the players who consider themselves gods for playing a 17 year old video game.
