And its PEGI 16… Blizz is truly doomed.
I mean, aside from “better” graphics and the multitude of bugs, the remastered version doesn’t offer anything that the original version didn’t have.
Diablo 2 in 2001 got PEGI 16/ESRB 17+.
Diablo 2 Resurrected got PEGI 16/ESRB 17+.
I swear, I should stop having to fact check you. Quit being so incredibly stupid. It’s not a good look.
Mad brah?
Blizzard is truly doomed, Diablo 2 Resurrected got the exact same rating as the original Diablo 2. How will Blizzard ever recover from this tragedy.
Yet D4 is being pushed as 16+… we’ll see
Would you prefer they removed all gore/skeletons/etc.? It’s 16+ by design.
no the opposite, make it for late teens/adults. And tell ppl who are offended to do one. …
lol, that “my dude”, doesn’t fit.
Its the same age rating as it was 20 years ago. Not exactly sure what youre on about.
blizz might as well make all their games 32+, it’s the same people still playing it kek
For PEGI to rate a game as 18+ for violence, it needs to have extreme violence. Think DOOM 2016. This really wouldn’t fit Diablo, whose violence is more subdued, not so exaggerated. PEGI 16 is pretty adult, it can feature sex and full nudity and still be classified as PEGI 16.
PEGI 18 differentiates itself mainly in the extremeness of violence - if the game features torture, decapitations, violence against children, sexual violence - it will be classified as PEGI 18. If the game glorifies gambling, regardless of anything else, it will be classified as PEGI 18. Basically, Europeans know violence on its own won’t damage kids. Games that gloat in their glorification of gross violence will get a PEGI 18, but Diablo 2 doesn’t glorify violence. It just has it as a feature. Same with Diablo 4 tbh.
European ratings are not American ratings. The ESRB has T, 17+, Adult Only and rating pending. While you see many games with PEGI’s 18+ tag, you very rarely see ESRB AO games. AO is a dreaded rating. It’s not the equivalent of an R-rating for a movie. AO games are very hard to sell, with many stores refusing to carry them. But Americans have different sensibilities and their rating system follows different rules.
These are things every gamer should know btw.
I love D2.

Old Blizzard don’t exist. Name of the game industry company did their old employe thats actaully don’t work here anymore or at least tiny part of them still, but in general they have low influence. Same was with Bioware - how many good RPG was made - now they only make some hype on old name from time to time. Now blizzard = activision. Same EA = bioware.
Pop you’re trying to reason with bandwagon jumpers looking at everything Blizzard does and making it look like the end of the world to keyboard tough guys who want you to think they flex their muscles at every person they meet roaring “MAN UP WIMP AND STOP COMPLAINING!!”
You may as well try to reason with a brick wall.
So, what did they censor exactly?
Probably nothing but they assume Diablo 2 was some sort of uber dark game for adults only.
Haven’t played it yet, but saw some videos and the loading screens are terrible.
Technically they made a deliberate choice to reinterpret the appearance of some of the female characters, namely the Amazon and Sorceress, presenting them as more battle-hardened.
They ve spoken about it in interviews as well.
It’s not really censorship though. Like with WoW it’s more an effort to realign the content of the game with the values of the company. That whole “practice what you preach” thing.
It’s fine.
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
Its just yet another pitiful “hurr hurr hurr let’s have a go at Blizzard hurr hurr hurr” thread from another weekend bandwagon jumper with nothing more important to do.
