Event bosses hp needs nerf?

Been fighting lich king for 7 minutes now and he’s half hp.

This is just… What the hell. Who thought they should be sponges?

Definitely, yes. It’ll only be getting worse as more people use the events to level alts. They can’t contribute much damage (they level much faster than they get gear), but massively scale up the large bosses and the mini bosses.

And fewer players will be doing the events on their mains.

13 minutes and 24 seconds to kill the lich king.

Almost 1/4th of the time the event is up in the zone spent killing the boss, lmao.

Totally agree. HP of the bosses and mini-bosses is way too high for open world content.

I don’t even think it is an alt problem. At least not on my realm group. The worst problem on my realm group are the leechers. Hitting the bosses only once and then wait for it to die. And they’re getting more… :S
Worst boss fight I had that way was…I think raggie…or might’ve been arthas with 10 minutes

Blizz obviously don’t play the game to know what a drag them objective and zone bosses are.

Think at first people couldn’t even tag enemies. I guess it’s just not made in a flexible way that fits all players. They’ll have to actively change things around

I don’t fault the leveling alts, though. Up to 60 or so, the blue items you sometimes get are way below the level of gear you’d get from questing, and even if they were higher item level, people level faster than they get gear from the event.

I ran into this issue when I leveled a rogue from 10 to 70 with these events. After a few level-ups I couldn’t even kill the trash mobs anymore, so I ended up just waiting until bosses were at 10% before tagging them (so the added HP isn’t as much). It wasn’t much fun, though. (For science: you get about 65,000 RM when leveling from 10 to 70 by only doing events.)

I repented by doing quite a few of the events with my geared DK too, though!

A little bit less health wouldn’t hurt no.

Is that because you were semi afk posting on here instead of doing dps?

Tell me you’re mathematically illiterate without telling me you’re mathematically illiterate.

Sorry?

You were posting here 7 mins into the fight and 13 mins after the fight ended.

Spend less time posting more time dps’n and it will die quicker.

Yes, it will surely die soooooo much quicker.

I increase the bosses hp by more than I’ll do in damage during the time it takes it for to die if I attack.

The boss had 8 million hp on my alt.

My attacks do like 100 damage.

Like I said, mathematical illiteracy.

Even using psychic link by shooting on low level mobs in the zones on my main - it takes ages to kill the boss, even though you’re transferring an absurd amount of damage due to scaling against low level mobs through psychic link.

The scalling is absurd since the low lvl character not only they don’t have the talent’s tree -skills …not talking about the gear scaling .

I’m 492 with my paladin i made 160 k dps with an overall 107 million dmg done on the boss . Imagine more than 10-15 minutes .

The problem is the scalling , If you have 20-30 ppl with ~500 ilvl it still take close to 4-5 min…

But if you have 5-10 max lvl char and rest lvling char is the same as having those 5-10 players

I can understand why they were bullet sponges early on, when they only spawned once per cycle… ensured we don’t get the “I couldn’t get there in time” complaints.

But now we can just go back to dealing with the memories and spawn the bosses over and over, indeed they could have literally 1/5th the hitpoints and still not be problematic.

I think the issue is the boss health increases massively with each additional player, but most of them are hilariously weak alts with massively innappropriate ilvl due to fast leveling and also due to how many people afk.

You start fighting a boss and it’s at 15million health, you’re burning through the HP %, 3 minutes later the boss is at 45million health and the bar is barely moving because the lvl60 players are using the same lvl30 loot they have been wearing since they logged in.

People got used to afking away at the events. Because in order to get rewarded, all they needed to do was to stay close.

And now the “improved” scaling system does not even require you to hit the boss for your presence to be counted, so the more AFKers there are, the longer the boss will take.

I would call it in-game equity. Equality of outcome, regardless of the effort one puts in.

They increased them instead of fixing the problem… The boss is now the worst part of it.

1124m HP when rotations are impossible…

dont do it in time walking and it not a issue

Every mob in this game needs more damage and HP, not less.

(In my opinion)

You like wasting time? lol… Moar HP is the laziest design.
