"Events" SUCK!

And the worst part is you have to be there at an exact point in time or wait till it pops next. They could have made more…grindable things I suppose. Something like an epic quest for you to just have a reason to run and explore and do open world content

I don’t know, last expansion didn’t feel like much either. Same world quests, same dailies, same everything other than torghast which i love but understandably people who felt forced to didn’t and the 4 covenant minigames that I can still go and do but for example the fae one is just a wait 24 hours(or was it 48?) for your seed to grow.

Tah was right about wanting just something to work towards. You don’t have to get mythic raid gear but you can work towards, say, heroic tier stuff by just playing for a few months :dracthyr_shrug:

the game is for more casuals and i dont mind it

When the most reasonable poster on the forums rant, then it’s really bad!

I’d rather work towards something like the Bee mount. You have to farm honey and do stuff over the span of a month or something to earn it.
I’m working towards maxing out my Veteran gear and that feels like good enough gear for open world content. I do have a Champion hat from World Boss but likely that’ll stay at 4/8 as I don’t have any of the crests needed for it and upscaling the crests I do earn will likely take until the world soul saga ends to acquire.

I said that they suck back in December LAST year and got nothing but “Noooooo, DF is great bro, look at all the improvements. I love the soup event.”

The players are almost as slow to catch on as Ion is, who is responding to problems with only a mere two years delay.

you know? i was thinkin the same thing. watchin grainne complainin about somethin is new, and not good for the game

Why, thank you!

First of all, I’d like to mention that I also complained about this in the first patch. But it wasn’t quite so bad then, when there were still things to do, and when there was some hope that Blizzard would change the way they disrespect non-instance players.

You also have to allow for the bias of the sample. MOST players never come anywhere near the forums, or MMO-C, or Reddit. Or Wowhead, apart from looking something up now and then. The set of posters we do get is strongly biased towards people who invest a lot in the game, and those tend to be instance players.

And yet I don’t remember any time since I started the game in Cata when there was so much wailing and gnashing of teeth from raiders than in 5.0, when daily quests were “mandatory”. Not even early Legion, with the Legendary RNG, or BfA, with the Essences, reached those heights of outrage and victimisation.

Nothing in what I am complaining about here would contribute to your “chore factor”. Focusing on current patch, we are talking about HOW a world player gets 440+ gear. Right now, there is exactly one way: do two specific WQ once a week, and add one or two extra for the Ally quest. It takes maybe an hour per character per week. It is awkward, with the timing, and it is not even vaguely interestingto do, but that’s it. No upgrade gear is available outside that. No progression is available outside that.

Blizzard could have done the Emissary thing, with an average of 3 440 pieces per week, and 4 424s and Flightstones and Crests, say. That would not have given you any chores, would it? Do you care about 440s?

This, I agree with!

I think we had an awful lot on the go all at once at one point which players didn’t like. I didn’t like the ones in the Vale much, they always had additional steps after the first quests.

It wasn’t until Legion and AP grind that I considered quitting due to burnout. It certainly felt satisfying to get the rep grinds done in MoP because it meant you gained a load of time that you didn’t have to dedicate to dailies any more :dracthyr_hehe_animated: I think the biggest downfall with Legion was they removed the sense of being done, and the sheer volume of content you had to do to keep getting a legendary was ridiculous.

They need to hit a middle ground and like you say if it doesn’t add chores for all then it’s a win/win. I think the reason we can’t have an emissary is because there simply isn’t enough in the way of WQs, although they have changed the pattern since Zaralek Caverns and have them replenish every couple of days so maybe there is potential for that.

I know many miss the gold income from those too.
