Ever wanted to play on a really big screen

Some cinemas here in the UK are opening their screens up for use by gamers.
Imagine playing wow on a 24m Screen!

We have that thing in the theater near me. I can pay to rent out a theater salon and plug my PS4 into the damned thing and play Bloodborne the way it’s meant to be played.

It doesn’t realy matter how big is the screen. For any game screen has to be small enough so you can see it all by looking directly at it so you can see everythig that is happening there. If screen is too big for that then you are at a disadvantage. So nope. My screen is big enough from the distance I sit in front of my PC.

I bought a 50" TV once for gaming… I hated it and gave it to my other half.

32" is the size screen I love.

Lets be real for a second, it would look like garbage lol.

But, it would certainly be a funny experience.

“Dude, quit walking into the bombs”
“What Bombs? Oh… sorry I couldn’t see that half of my cinema screen without turning my head 100 degrees”

I think 27" at a push… but 24" is ideal for me personally.

WoW would be the last game I would think of playing on cinema screen
Personally I find WoW is best on ultrawides as you have enough space to put all the junk aside such as quests tracker, notes, inventory, map, chat windows etc

On cinema screen it would be fun to maybe try racing, space sim or a shooter, for example Forza Horizon, Battlefield 5, No Man’s Sky and perhaps Subnautica and I think I would be most impressed about sound not visuals.

It could be worth it if it was increasing the field of view and far frustum plane.

I played a lot using a projector for a few years, it’s was pretty cool. Though honestly it was best for watching movies and stuff, gaming is easier on a regular screen. Unless it’s split-screen, then bigger really is better.

Used to play fps games competitively and found 24inch the best for that but I’ve since moved to 32inch for a more leisurely feel, it’s just right.

Can’t imagine playing on a huge cinema screen but could be really cool  Not sure if I’d play WoW though, but something like Civilization would be amazing.

Can confirm. Strategy games feel really good on big screens.

I’d do it on Great Vault day

I’ve been playing on a 27" 1440p monitor for almost a year and sometimes even that feels too big, even after all this time. I sometimes consider switching back to 24" 1080p. It’s just the sweet spot. Especially where seeing everything on the screen quickly and at any time is vital, like FPS shooters, and WoW to a lesser extent.

Wouldn’t everything just be bigger? So you would see the same stuff, just bigger, rather than seeing more at once?

Upgraded to the 49” Odyssey G9 at the start of the new year, although probably wouldn’t have gone that wide without it being curved. For me it’s the best monitor for the two games I play (WOW and Elite) as the extended FOV makes them so much more enjoyable.

Good luck keeping track of your UI

It depends on viewing distance.

I play on my 42” TV but I sit probably 2-3 metres away. Looks glorious and plenty of screen estate!

Mainly because I don’t have a desk or monitor atm but yeah.

Imagine playing with wmon. So the whole cinema can see you get tee-bagged by a rogue.
