Everthing in game takes forever to load in after last patch, Async causes it (ODD FIX)

Let me start by saying this isnt the loading screens, and I am running on a 2TB SSD, nearly brand new with 85% of it’s space free. The issue is with something in the game.

Since last wednesday my game has started having horrendous issues with loading in player, textures, mounts, basically anything. The minimap and buildings wont load properly creating invisible walls. Regular map is extremely slow to load and misses textures, the escape menu is even missing textures.
I’ve tried reading every relevant post I could find and tried everything, like removing cache and WTF folders so they can reset, removing blizzard entertainment file from program files, reinstalled the game twice over, list goes on and the problem persists.
At this point I’m at a loss at what to do to combat this issue and it makes the game near unplayable unless you’re going at a snail’s pace.

FIX EDIT : so after even more tinkering I’ve figured out that the checkbox for “Async Resource Creation” in the graphical options is the source of my problem. If I start the game with it turned on, the issue is there, but if I uncheck it and apply, issue is gone, if I then turn it on again there is no issue. Somehow starting the game (which ran perfectly fine before, my hardware is good and relatively new) with Async completely wrecks my game.
I hope this may help with anyone else who runs into the issue. I don’t think I’ve seen any posts in regards to this setting creating issues.
