Every single aspect of this game somehow got "annoying" and I think I'm not exaggerating

Vulaang uses Wall of Text. It’s super effective!
I agree on most things, I will reply on those that I disagree as usual:

This is intentional. If overtuned, it’s easier to dial down later. If undertuned, it will be a lot worse PR to dial up.
Regarding bugs, they also follow a cost-effective approach: The priority goes to the bugs that will impact players’ decision to stay subbed. It’s why some 10+ year old bugs are not resolved despite being a simple on/off switch.
And of course as you say, “exploit early exploit often” is encouraged exactly due to that.

  • Trash: Trash between bosses are supposed to show you the mechanics that the boss will use one-by-one. Unfortunately, the speed at which they die (at least on LFR and Normal) and their relative reduced effect in comparison to the actual boss fight does not do that. But the opposite case of having those trash packs be sponges that can oneshot would not be fun either.
  • I am fine with corpse runs, if anything because they allowed the group to take a breath and even socialize a bit before going back on the boss. I am against the idea that we should have close to 100% combat uptime when online, and nor should the game either encourage or reward that.
  • The gold earned throughout a raid should normally cover any repair expenses easily. It’s only during progress that it may not break even.
  • Fighting over gear and tokens is only because of people following BiS lists like the gospel. It’s not a game design issue, it’s a community perception one. Plus, we have the Catalyst to convert M+ and PvP gear into tier, right? Did it change in TWW?
  • Instance ID inflexibility is both a blessing and a curse. One one hand it severely limits what players can do. On the other it sort of “forces” them to stay in line and not abandon groups nilly willy if they do not seem optimal.

The system we have is the least worse of all options it seems. Any change would create new degenerate behaviours that would fragment the community even more than what it currently is.

It seems to me that Delves are heavily favouring grouping. I am not against that, if anything the game should heavily discourage solo play when an option exists; but it currently is massively skewed towards group play. Yesterday I did a tier7 delve with 1 healer and 1 dps and it was hell, took 30mins and we had just 1 life left in the end. Immediately after getting out, our tank friend joined on their alt without even knowing what his buttons do and we went on a tier8. It was a snoozefest, we literally started pulling enemies left and right to try to see how many are required to cause a wipe… and still completed with 6 lives!

This is one of the most “toxic” designs of the game and I agree with everything you’ve said.

  • Blizzard copied the system from f2p mobile gacha games because… wait for it… it actually conveniences speedrunners and people who treat every activity as a checkbox to be done as efficiently as possible. Also were you here when the drama occurred due to WQs not appearing all at one exactly at Wednesday 06:00 and Saturday 18:00?
  • It’s good to have some treasures harder than others. What’s not good is that there are no in-game clues. Is it hard to have some NPCs give hints, for example “I like hiking these mountains, it’s always a new adventure for me every day. Some time ago I even encountered a crab where it shouldn’t be at the side where the sun sets”. But nope, just put a random item hidden somewhere and then “force” players to use an addon that has the coordinates that were found by players making use of external memory-reading tools.
  • The issue with gathering nodes is that they are too many and yield too few materials in comparison to the costs of crafting. I’d prefer if nodes were found at a rate of 10% their current one but yielded 10 times over their current yield. Or reduce crafting requirements in materials by 90%. The current system requires us to stop every 10 seconds when we see a yellow icon on the minimap. That kills momentum.

Gotta get back to work, I’ll reply on the next later…

Seems like you are just annoyed by anything at this point.

Its very simple. I enjoy m+ and delves, I don’t agree with you this content being annoying. If it was annoying I would not play because I am not player like you who obviously still struggle with WoW addiction so you play even tho the game is bad from your PoV.

Get some fresh air, play different games, and don’t persuade those who enjoy the game all aspects are designed to annoy players.

I’m just curious, what’s this new “weird” mechanics in the raid this time? Killing adds or don’t stand in the bad circle?

off the top of my head

  • throwing food at boss
  • stopping the bosses with web lines created from touching some bulge
  • knocking everyone up by 1 player to jump over a deadly nova
  • Left and right poison waves
  • setting portals around in specific zones of area by random players every time so you dont get sucked into it
  • Half of broodtwister stuff is idiotic even if not particularly new - reinforced by a very recent and needed nerf.

You might think - oh these are easy.
the portal boss is a nightmare. broodtwister feels awful. silken court is awful. didnt try ansurek hc and dont want to really.

you might argue how “old” all mechanics are but mostly it’s not 1 mechanic but the combination of them all and overlapping that gets idiotic, sometimes RNG and at times very hard to coordinate

I sounds to me like you are burnt out and need a break.

I deffinately haven’t had the same experience as you. I love the state of raiding and keys and I’m having more fun than I have ever had with professions. For context I have a bs. A tailor. 2 lw. 2 enchanters. 1 alch. 1 inscriptor and 1 JC.

I do agree that solo players.deserve better than delves but reading through you post and I have read most of it. I get the impression that you are exhausted beyond measure. I was like this in shadowlands and I took a 2 season long break and it did wonders for my mental health.

You must focus on you first games are supposed to be fun and you should enjoy playing them

Just one thing to consider before you leave. Can I has your gold?

don’t be cringe, desperate and acting like someone from a 3rd world country. It’s undignified and as a joke it was never funny for several years.

After asking this I’d rather repeatedly buy something gold sinky to specifically waste all gold or give it away to someone random in Dornogal or give to a friend than ever consider giving you even a copper, you pathetic beggar.

Castle Nathria says hello

Captain Cookie is also a “food” based boss but you had to grab it for your own buff not to damage the boss.

Not new in the slightest to avoid damage waves.

So spawn and kill adds. Got it, yeah that’s so weird and new (as by your own first post so not sure why you added that here)

That doesn’t make it new and weird. That just makes it punishing.

Sure I’ll agree that some bosses are overly punishing right now for the casual player, but that doesn’t mean that the mechanics are new or weird.

oh come on - you are doing strawman. You literally brought up a vanilla dungeon boss to “prove me wrong” xDDDDDDDDDDDDDd

the Dawnbreaker waves mechanic is fairly new as you need 2 ppl to not be dumb and stand properly the proper way, it’s not the “hard” mechanic - but defo something “newer”

broodtwister isn’t all that “new” but the application is awful and “inspired” - you need to somehow coordinate a few players to pick appropriate eggs to destroy - unlike Diurna - players are randomly picked and well - “hilarity ensues” in less coordinated group - it’s awful by design and painful to attempt.
this boss is covered by “new and weird” mechanics particularly the weird part - I don’t like how this boss mechanics’ work.

And I remember Nathria mechanics - it was WAY EASIER like… absolutely not comparable to this boss. come on you know it … just because its portalll… Didnt Portal Keeper in Antorus have portals too? but nothing like those…

Place markers. Ping.

If that’s not enough, then make everyone get on discord. At some point the “multiplayer” aspect of MMO has to matter.

You’re the one saying there’s so many “new” mechanics and you listed like 3 over an 8 boss raid and 8 dungeon pool.

So out of 12 mechanics from bosses there’s 1 new in that dungeon and that makes it so elitist? I’m sorry I don’t buy that argument.

Random player get portal, get out of raid and place it. Other people take portal.

Please tell me the difference from Nathria.

2 portals in nathria?

now you have like 5 in the princess fight??? like how can you be this dense or troll? like wtf are you doing? are you for real?

ok, im done with you - you are doing that other guy’s bit now - putting words in my mouth I never said.
Additionally, it was you for some reason trying to specifically analyse single mechanics in their own existence when you very well know it’s not the point. however some mechanics are new, particularly annoying and very punishing when put together.
Anyhow, have a good one, bub. 3/10 troll.

You have 2 (on heroic). You place one next to boss and one on edge of room then when the void creeps in you step into the portal and spread out.

Okay so you can’t actually list that many new mechanics and you refuse to communicate with your raid/party (broodtwister egg per your own account).

Have a nice day.

nice troll - for delve players?

so I’m not losing my mind - I went to mythic trap guide for Princess Ky’veza and checked the video - clearly seeing 5 portals on the floor. Just like in my heroic kill of this boss. Idk - I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you mixed up bosses or something but you are cringe af

I killed Heroic Ansurek 3 times last week, I’m fairly sure I know more about the fight than you since you said you won’t even try it.

Those are not portals. Those are void zones.

Ansurek is a Queen, Kyveza is a princess and you are a …

They are called RIFTS in the game.

Rift is considered a portal. not a void zone. It also sucks you in, suggesting fantasy “portal” entity.

Again you are a … Good bye.

Void zones are not portals. Void rifts are not portals.

Get your mechanics right.

literally 2 sec google:

In fantasy, a rift can refer to a variety of things, but it often involves a breach or opening between different worlds or dimensions. Here are some common interpretations of a rift in fantasy:

1. A portal to another world: A rift can be a gateway that allows travel between different realms, whether they are parallel universes, alternate timelines, or entirely different planes of existence. These rifts can be natural or created through magic or technology.

2. A tear in the fabric of reality: A rift can represent a weakness or instability in the fundamental structure of the universe. This can cause dangerous and unpredictable events, such as magical energy leaking through or creatures from other dimensions invading.

3. A source of power or danger: Rifts can be associated with powerful magical energies or artifacts. These can be sought after by heroes and villains alike, but they can also pose great risks if they are not handled carefully.

4. A symbol of conflict or change: Rifts can represent a disruption of the status quo or a turning point in a story. They can herald the arrival of new threats or opportunities, and they can force characters to confront their fears and limitations.

Here are some examples of rifts in fantasy literature and media:

  • The Portal Stones in The Chronicles of Narnia: These stones allow travel between the human world and the magical land of Narnia.
  • The Netherworld Gate in Dungeons & Dragons: This gate connects the Material Plane to the Shadowfell, a dark and dangerous dimension.
  • The Rift in the World in Final Fantasy VII: This rift is caused by the planet’s life energy being drained, and it threatens to destroy the world.

In conclusion, a rift in fantasy can be a powerful and versatile storytelling device. It can create new worlds, introduce new dangers, and drive the plot forward in exciting and unexpected ways.

Bonus points
One of warlock’s portal ability is called “nether RIFT”

Im sorry. Dont waste our time with your whining.

You said you wanted to leave:

So save us your stupid opinions and just leave.

← Door is that way. Donate your gold on your way out !

Oh boy where to start… sure… keys are hard in S1. But all that whining you mention… FALSE. People are generally nice. People generally dont want the Meta, people want skilled people that will not grief mechanics and stuff like that.

And by the way you write things, you seem to be one of those. A person that walks in a 2+ (entry level) feeling like a “pro” that “knows everything”… you are probably the one that is talking BS, linking DPS meters all day, and telling people what to do with a condescending attitude… and of course… people don’t have the patience to deal with you and leave. I would too.

I am 100% certain that you literally did 1 dungeon in the whole season… failed mechanics because you cant accept the possibility that you might not be a MDI player that is genetically modified to know everything on day 1… And immediately blames blizzard for you lack of a personality and capability of self-improvement.

So stop whining…

On the meantime, wow will be better with out you. Bye !!!
