Everything in this game is RNG?

So:
in Dungeons RNG drop Item (if i need wirst i have to handle with a RNG opportunity to Drop something , and if that RNG goes well, it goes to the next RNG of dropping the Item i want out of all the item in the Dung, and if i want to be competitve i need corruption and it is an Additional RNG on that Item…lol??? )

If i go Raid : Same as Dungeon…RNG for Drop chance…RNG for drop the item i need on that Boss…RNG corrupt (TRIPLE RNG Again)

If i wanna do PvP: RNG of Dropping Items i need spamming bgs arena etc…RNG of specific ITEM i need…RNG of Stats i need on that piece of Gear…and RNG of being Corrupt

Professions: I want to craft 470 piece of gear? : Spam creating that Item to get the stats my class need because the craft stats on the item is RNG

Guys hello? Is this game even a thing atm?

Multiple over multiple over multiple over multiple over multiple RNG for every Item in the game???

Can you explain what should i do to get a full haste/Vers gear in the game?

Is this real ???

This mechanics are so weird that i cannot understand How a videogame company like BLizzard ever thoght of doing this…

What the Duck am i playing??

Actually yes, almost everything in the game uses RNG. When an enemy spawns, its location is randomly determined. When loot is generated, it’s randomly determined. When you damage an enemy, the damage output is randomly determined. There are factors that influence these things, like acceptable spawn locations, resistances/armour value and min/max damage, loot tables etc., but there’s no escaping the use of a random number generator or dice if you will.

Yeah so what ? Welcome to the fabulous world of RPGs where bosses drop loot

Double, there’s no “rng to drop something”, just “rng to drop the item you need”

That’s a basic droptable, not some kind of layered rng system.

Once again you’re making it appear worse than it really is. Rng of getting the item you need out of the chest, that’s it. Stats and corruption are another issue but you’re once again making up some kind of rng scheme out of nothing.

And in this case it’s better this way. Iirc it allows for some specs to get bis stats combinaison that no other gear in the game provide at high ilvl. Well it’s a pain for rings but the rng isn’t the issue, the recipe is.

If you stopped for a second making up reasons to be angry you wouldn’t even need to ask this question

There are legit reasons to complain about RNG but you miss the point so hard with that post

I personally don’t have an issue with a loot table and a chance of x number of items from that boss/mob etc. That kind of RNG belongs in the game.

It’s when we have excessive amounts of RNG that it becomes a problem.

On a very basic level the RNG should always be

  • Will the boss/mob drop an item
  • Is the item something I want/can use

Welcome to D&D E3.5, where most happenings are the result of a die roll.

In every version of WoW, there is been RnG. RnG itself aint the problem, the problem is the numbers. If before you had 20% drop chance, then now you have 1%. This 1% does not include sockets and corruptions. Once you add those too, you get way below 1%.

So, not exactly.

So, first of all you should have about a 15% chance that any item at all would drop from a boss or end of dungeon chest, unless this chance was increased lately. Then another RNG roll is made, the item you will receive is completely random.

After this, another RNG is rolled to determine whether the item you receive is an upgraded item, and gains avoidance, leech, or whatever extra stat.

After this, another RNG is rolled to determine if the item will have a socket or not.

After this, another RNG is rolled to determine whether the item will have a corruption or not.

If the item will have a corruption effect, another RNG is rolled to determine what corruption the item has, now here we have % probability which is higher for weak corruptions and grows increasingly lower for a corruption considered bis for you. Down to less than 2% chance (less than 2 items in 100) to have the corruption you’re looking for.

After this corruption is determined, another RNG is rolled to determine whether the corruption you have received is rank 1, rank 2, or rank 3.

Your explaination is perfect. Thank you
Jokes apart, how incredible this system is? do you ever wondered there would be such a RNG mechanic in one game??

Holy duck this is incredible

That’s all fine and dandy and is neccesary for the game to work but all this gear procs x and corruption procs y and every dot tick can proc every proc on you and the gear that is actually up for sale is actually not gear but a randomized gear token and on and on
People who are in this thread pretending OP is talking about the sensible RNG to have in the game while pretending the nonsensible RNG in the game is non existant or desirable
