Everything that is wrong with patch 8.2 (lore-wise)

Would have been too much effort to actually prevent the rebels from helping Baine escape from prison like that probally for Blizzard. Fells like a telltale game. Illusion of choice.

no reason to leave, the Alliance is more of an group working toghether, but they have the free will to do what ever they like, none can say they have to do that not even Anduin, the reason he doesnt try to stop Tyrande to attack darkshore eighter, becuse he has no authority to do so.

Windrunner is in league with xalatath, and thus used her remaining ships to lure the Alliance into the trap.

It’s been left unguarded since ToS, almost 2 years ago.

Because Anduin heard his BFF was going to be killed and Jaina feels guilt that his imprisonment is because he helped free her brother.

Because emotions

Because old gods and bigger threat, ala Mists of Pandria.

There are still Stormwind ships, the Kul’tiras navy is larger and was closer than Stormwind’s navy which is protecting Stormwind.

It is the metaphorical compass that Windrunner was talking about when you give it to her after CoS.

Because bad writing.

See above.

See above x2

I have a question of my own.
Azshara isn’t killing us because she needs the heart of Azeroth to free N’zoth.
Why doesn’t she replace the water, kill us and then take the HoA from our drowned corpses?

I just find it hilarious how the ‘Bad writing argument’ comes up so… selectively.

Brother Tauren, feel free to add.

And if it is about the Tauren heritage questline, I might even agree with you!

Today i completed Baines scenario.

I felt genuinely sick, when i went about those Dark Rangers that praised and congratulated my character, showing something resembling respect and camaraderie, only for me to go past them and kill the whole lot.
I even sparred with their leader, and saw to their training. (Did it with a Hunter, don’t know if that triggers a specially warm dialogue that has them fawning over the ‘Huntmaster’).

And then, the wolf lady and the Sunreaver displaying their disgust regarding the Alliance…for me to then beat both for the sake of defending Jaina.

Really, this story is just garbage when seen from the Horde side.

PS: Thank god i at least did it with a Mag’har. A friend of mine was simultaneously doing it with her Zandalari.

Funny, for me, the most fun part was slaughtering my way through all these Forsaken and rabid Sunreavers. It was cathartic, to say to least, to repay the Forsaken for what they and their waifu queen did to the Horde.

Sunreavers are the biggest alliance apologists out there. Just like Baine. How can you enjoy killing them? Under any neutral circumstances they are your best buds.

I problably would’ve too, if Blizzard had portrayed them as fanatic henchmen like they did with the Kor’kron under Garrosh.

Didn’t feel as good when these soldiers were shown praising and congratulating me as champion of their faction. Going as far as expressing how honoured they were for having the chance to meet and train with me.
Only for them to get slaughtered by me afterwards.

Is this spite against the faction or against players that like said kind of Horde?
Because i’d say that being morally challenged by this war is a tad less “aggressive” than downright killing loyal Horde soldiers (Thrall words, not mine) that just expressed what a high opinion they have of you.

Too bad, Activision Blizzard doesn’t have the courage to take this narrative to the end.

People who sided with Saurfang, Thrall and Baine get to have a final showdown with the people who sided with Sylvanas and Nathanos.

Jaina and the Alliance stay aside.

Even if this had a tragic end for the Honourable Horde, nothing would give me more joy than to see my character die along side Thrall, Saurfang, Baine defending Thunder Bluff.

Lok’Tar-Ogar for the Horde.
Never surrender, never retreat !

Cheers.

Eh, there was enough reason for me to dislike them more than the Kor’kron at this point.

Yeah, well, to be honest I couldn’t care less about them complimenting me. Since BfA I started to develop a hatred against them for the stuff they do so I couldn’t care less about their compliments.

Faction.

What did Magister Hathorel do? Or the Dark Ranger present there?.

Hey Zarao, are you sure that Dark Ranger Lenara is one of the Dark Rangers you also killed later? Because you might actually be lucky, it doesn’t look like any of the “nice” Dark Rangers/Forsaken were killed by your char.

Nope. She wasn’t among them. And the Magister really hasn’t done anything wrong besides attacking the PC. He helped us back then when we rescued Sunreavers from the Purge in Dalaran during the quests from Rommath. Can’t hate this guy at all just because?

Seems pretty wrong to me, how dare the PC defend himself!

The PC chose to join a group of traitors to infiltrate and home invade a place where Baine was supposed to be dealt with, after he openly admitted his treason infront of all Horde leaders. By all legal means, this process was justified. The PC, Thrall and Saurfang are the aggressors here.

Jaina and Shaw*

Oh good, i didn’t kill their leader, just all the rest.
Anyway, guess its up to each one how they feel regarding said events. But it makes one wonder what sort of moral high ground are certain characters claiming when they are already shown about as willing to sacrifice other Horde soldiers as some collateral damage in their moralist crusade.
Personally, didn’t like it.

But hey, lets kill Horde soldiers that did nothing but praise the ones that turned on them. I’m sure that doesn’t paint us at the same level as someone else shown as willing to sacrifice soldiers to further her goals!
Nah, nah, we be bettah 'cause we Old School!!!..

PS: Kinda dodged the Sunreaver question tho, but nvm.

No, I’m not so sure you did. The people who came back later didn’t seem to have complimented you.

Yeah sorry but that is absolutely not convincing. At least not for me. I’m not going to feel sorry for some morally black Dark Rangers. The only one I felt sorry for was Baine.

Yeah guys, Lok’tar Ogar! For the Horde…killing the Horde.

Sorry, can’t jump on that bandwagon and haven’t been able to stomach it from the start.

So what about those Tauren players that did side with Sylvanas for their own reasons, so now in your scenario they have to suddenly be fine with destroying Thunder Bluff and killing other Tauren…………because…muh Baine, in the end.

Gods, and I thought I couldn’t dislike this character more, what a trainwreck.

Hey, it’s Sylvanas/Nathanos who wanted you to go in and help the Honourable Horde? You even got a buff to put up a good show.
