The reason why the Alliance and the Horde went to the Nazjatar-area.
Why and how did Azshara steal the Tidestone so quickly.
Why are the Alliance suddenly helping Baine, and siding with important Horde characters without hesitation?
Why is Jaina touching Thrall?
How come the faction war is suddenly ignored?
What is going on with the Alliance fleet? Are there still Stormwind ships? Why doesn’t the level of involvement of Kul Tiras make any sense?
Why is Nathanos suddenly using knaifu?
Why is Tyrande not present at all in Naijzatar.
Why hasnt Tyrande left the Alliance or done anything about Anduin. And why isnt she using her new night warrior powers at all?
What happend to Tyrande and the Night elves Vengeance for teldrasil are they still fighting for darkshore? was 1 darn valkyr all vengeance they wanted and why isnt she at least hunting sylvannas and saurfang or other horde?
Just some random questions/concerns I found here. Feel free to add.
by inquiring if it was that unguarded, why aren’t the other pillars not taken. Azshara just taking the tidestone and ignoring the others feels… incredibly both pompous and idiotic.
i guess if she is both, then…?
also haiete, apparently i can edit your OP. idk why and im scared as to why i have that ability.
Nah it’s a Wiki so everyone can edit it so we can make a genius list full of lore mistakes or oversights that Blizzard made. Ultimate levels of whining!
I believe there was a scene where Sylvanas discusses her plans about the War with Nathanos in the PTR, where she mentions that they are in the “endgame” and that the dagger will guide the way, which does not seem to be the case when the patch went live.
Sylvanas ordered Nathanos to follow Xal’atath there, and the Alliance gave chase. Azshara/N’zoth lead Nathanos thereas part of their plot to free the old god.
We left it unguarded, probably as a result of the massive tear Illidan made. She already attempted to seize it during the raid. Nothing to stop her when we are not present. Simply, none of us thought about protecting it.
Because he is a man of honor whom the Alliance leaders respect and Jaina want to repay him for freeing Derek. This is quite clearly explained in the quests.
Because she wants to comfort him… How is this a lore issue?
The focus of the patch is Nazjatar, and the people there cannot afford fighting. Besides, the Alliance has won on the various warfronts. They intended for this to be the final battle of the war, then Azshara came and ruined everything.
The fleet is in ruins. The size and composition of the fleet in cinematics is not strictly canon. It is just made simple as a way represent the fleet.
And why is she randomly following some Old God dagger? Again, feels like lazy writing to me.
And no one noticed this? I mean, there should’ve been SOME sort of protection, right? Or do we have to assume everyone was so absurdly stupid that they really left all the Tidestones without some sort of guard?
Yes, that explains the first part, but doesn’t explain why she’s ok with the rest of the Horde leaders. I can get being fine with Thrall if I assume she has forgiven him for making Garrosh Warchief (perhaps that’s touched upon during War Crimes, can’t remember) but Saurfang? Who was a key figure during the War of the Thorns and the Siege of Lordaeron and escaped from the Stockades? I assume Jaina doesn’t know he escaped with Anduin’s help…
Because it is absolutely not in line with her whole char development she got after Theramore got destroyed and during BfA. She was supposed to turn her viciousness to a more controlled anger, but being so sweet of Thrall doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
Yeah, but I haven’t seen any confrontation between the Horde and Alliance in Nazjatar (at least not yet). Wasn’t this supposed to be all about the faction war?
Ok, fair enough, that’s a point I don’t really care about anyway.
It was mostly about the fact that Nathanos and Sylvanas are wielding it and actively listening to it, but I don’t think I made this point clear enough.
Sylvanas doing something stupid and insane seems weird to you?
Yeah. Who is going to remain in the dank caverns beneath that demon-corrupted cathedral, filled with countless traps and curses? Could be that we thought the Pillars were warded or could not be removed, or that Azshara would not try again. It could definetly have received a better explanation.
This was also explained. They need to work together to save Baine, and had no time for in-fighting.
The two of them have always had a good relationship. He was not part of the Horde when they commited their crimes. Also, remember that Baine had recently shown that the Horde still has honor by releasing Derek.
Well, if it isn’t totally clear we have very strong hints on that one, and it is highly probable that we would get the rest when we get to Sylvanas’ oh-so-mysterious motivations.
But for the Horde the easy answer is: The Warchief ordered it.
And for the Alliance: They looked like easy prey.
The why is kind of easy: To open the sea and let us fall in, so we would bring the HoA to her, while providing the maximum amount of entertainment. The how? Exactly how Garrosh got the Focussing Iris.
Jaina and Anduin are the good guys. And they once had a tea party at aunty Jaina’s. So they are friends. And good guys save their friends.
She hadn’t had a boyfriend in 2 years, is in her most exitable age, and likes his new body.
Because this is Thunder Island 2.0.
Populations. And. Logistics. Don’t. Matter.
Really, people, you should have learned that by now. Nothing new about that one. It was a sybolic destruction of the Alliance fleet. Don’t go counting ships, just take it. Of course that’s a major flaw, but one that has been there since forever.
We’ll obviously learn that when we learn Sylvanas’ plan. Shut up, grunt, and follow your orders. It’s well established that this is Sylvanas’ style of leadership, that brings her the adoration of the plebs.
I do like how you could see only Lor’themar and Nathanos on the ships, I know it would probably take time to put a bunch of NPC’s in the background but it just seems so off. I feel like that cinematic was rushed as hell.
Also the chase just seemed so meh. Why was it just some boats following others and why was there no shots being fired, no vessels trying to cut them off in front, how 4 ships and the capture of Nathanos and Lor’themar would end the war, why Lor’themar was on there like ??? Did he have a special mission or something? Why is his (from what I can remember so correct me if I am wrong) him just being on a ship without concern of his imminent capture?
In the Cinematic, when Azshara speaks to N’zoths Tentacle, she is polite and kind. But when she reaches out her hand to him, he flinches away. Like in fear or subservient.
I don’t know about you, but I spent a lot of time yesterday controlling faction flags on Najzatar killing off a lot off alliance players
Yes, it pretty much feels weird. She does not seem to be stupid. She has had bad calls, as many/most leaders. I mean given this logic Thrall is the most retarded being ever.
I think that concerning the dagger there’s a hidden grand-plan we are missing which will explain things
The best part of the cinematics is Greymane wetting his pants when the ship falls down, it’s genuine fear
Why there is another Dark Warden Night Elf on the Horde side, guarding Orgrimmar?
Ashara is trying to take control of Night Elves ghosts, but why she did not done that before, when she had 10k years?
Why Night Elves Night Warriors players decided to join forces with Saurfang, the one who lead the Horde against their race? Instead of helping on DarkShores…
I just did the Baine rescue quest on my Sylvanas sympathizing Blood Elf main character. I’m getting a little tired of Nathanos “just get along”-response, it feels so wrong to kill Sylvanas own forces. Though I did like the fact that I could mention the ongoing trechery to the Dark Ranger in the scenario. With that said, I feel that the scenario should have diverted here and regrouped with Lenara and her dark rangers and contacted Hathorel (the Blood Elf who emerged in the end) and shared the same conculsion of Baine being rescued. Though I have to admit that this is a much better scenario than the previous one where we once again told Nathanos of an ongoing trechery, but was supposed to follow along and that was it.
As for Alliance players (especially Night Elves) having a negative opinion of working together with the Saurfang and Thrall that I see on the forums, I honestly don’t think this is a miss from a lore perspective as I believe this is a forshadowing of the upcoming division within the Alliance that Blizzard previously has mentioned in a interview.
